Oil on canvas:This painting is about the battle within us all - The battle of sin vs. freedom, faith vs. doubt, following the motions of life rather then the passions of your heart. The figure is posed as if he is ready to jump and fly away and yet he is anchored to the ground by the roots coming out of his flesh.
This painting is about how we are able to justify any way of life we want by using bible verses - thus watering down our faith and becoming everybody.
Within the figure face their is a Christ figure (whose body is the nose) His arms are out stretched over the eyes and His hands become several people reaching out to cover up the figures mouth. This is that same battle going on within that figures head. A faith muted

I have never sold a painting ever. I wouldnt have thought a catholic store would want to sell them simply because it is not like the other art work in there - i thought my work to be a little too dark at times for sale. Not realy nice enough for someones wall. Thanks for the encouragement i would like to sell them there. I am actually moved from the responses i have from you and others. My work focuses alot on my self and my weaknesses the truth i know in my heart and what i stive for - it come from within so i guess i havent really thouht bout it much for other people. Thanks taintedbliss

I wish I could make out the image of Jesus better, but otherwise I really like this pix. It makes a bold but true statement.

if you have microsoft on your computer you should have picture manager. it will allow you to adjust the image- bring up the colors and resolution so it's clearer. I use it all the time for my photos.

hmmmmm bugger. *thinks* ......Do you have photoshop? maybe (if the pixel count is too low) you can add some detail and bring the enhancements up there.
I really like this piece-which is why I think people should be able to see all the detail in it. I haven't faved it yet because I was waiting to see if you WERE able to enhance.
