(I went back and took the blur off the cape; thanx to those that suggested it. I was feeling the same way before I posted it this morning)I know you all know of this classic show, don't put on a front. I loved this show. I ain't gotta lie to kick it, aight? haha I have been trying for months to make him seem like he was portrayed in the tv series. The series was called "The Greatest American Hero" It came out in the mid-80's, I believe. The plot is this gentleman came in contact with aliens, and they gave him a book on how to control the powers they turned over to him. He lost the book within the first 2 adventures (correct me if I'm wrong), and could never control his powers to fight the good fight. He continued to stay on the side of good, but was a clumsy oaf. Awesome, awesome, awesome show!

I think I was only 5 or 6 when it was on but it was so memorable that I recall a great deal of it. Plus it was the first live action superhero series I had ever seen at the time.

LOL, yeah. This show was amazing. The thing that happened is that the aliens gave him the "suit" which endowed him with the powers and the instruction booklet that came with it. You were right that he lost it within the first episode and never could get the trick of his powers after that, especially the landings on his flights, which makes this picture even more hilarious because that was his signature "landing pose". lmao.

The show was also made changes to due to the main character having the same name as the man who shot President Reagan. Plus, there was a spin-off where Ralph ( our hero ) passes on the suit to a girl. Like Ralph's flying...it didn't REALLY take-off. It was cancelled after 2 episodes I believe.
BTW, as you can see...I was a SERIOUS fan

To add for all the comics fans as well....the design of Ralph's costume was so good that it would probably stand toe-to-toe with some of the designs we now se today. It was VERY iconic.
