Does your camera allow you to adjust focus manually, or is it all automated? Unfortunately here, due to the focus, it appears as if the stem is the subject of the photo, which is rather unremarkable in comparison to the flower itself. The composition isn't bad.. I'd use the rule of thirds and move the center of the flower down a bit further. Looks like you have a lot of natural talent. Just need to hone it a bit and work towards some better equipment.

Oh wow i actually didn't even realize the sunflower itself wasn't in focus.
I actually took that photo kind of quickly and didn't take the time to see if it was in focus from far it did.
But thanks for bringing that up! And my camera does allow itself to adjust the focus manually i just mostly do it automatically.
I've gotten used to using auto but I definitely want to try out manually

The first rule of good photography: NEVER, EVER, EVER rely on autofocus. If you want crisp, sharp photos, focus manually. When focusing, focus past the point it looks sharpest on both extents, and then split the difference. In other words, focus until it looks sharp, go *just* past that point, and then move back to where it looks focused again. This will provide much sharper focus on all of your images
