Description
Giant Painting for my mom to go up over the ugly faux fireplace. It's some crazy dimension like 40''x30'' or something, anyway huge. I wanted to do something with the pressed sumac leaves I had, so I tried to figure out how to incorporate them into a painting and decided to use paisleys because my momma likes them and they're just crazy enough to work. /the background is purple acrylic, then the leaves, then I free-handed on the design with various gold and silver markers and paints. I had a sketch of what I wanted to do design wise which I'll post as soon as I figure out where I put my sketch book.Related content

This is CRAZY! It must have taken u a long time to finish this. I didn't even see that u used leaves in the drawing very creative it's one of a kind

Thank you for the kind comment! It took awhile to finish the whole thing, but it helped that I sketched out the design beforehand. I ended up making this whole picture as an excuse to use those leaves that I had been saving, but they ended up not being that prominent in the picture, so I'm not sure if I'll do something else with sumac leaves in the future. I haven't had time to do that much since I've been back in school, though.
