Meet Princess Butterfly Gem, one of the princesses from the Kingdom Pegasoplis in my universe. She also looks identical to Fluttershy, except for her mane, cutie mark, and can use magic with her wings like the pegasi do in Pegasoplis.

Princess Butterfly Gem is the middle child of the royal family of Pegasoplis, a kingdom that had been built by the pegasi when Equestria had been founded. It was said that the kingdom had been destroyed by a dangerous storm. However, the pegasi were able to gain magic in their wings and used it to stop the storm.

Not only is Butterfly Gem a princess, she is also a famous singer. Everypony in Pegasoplis love her singing. Because of her popularity, Butterfly Gem has a busy schedule that keeps her busy. Although she enjoys singing for her fans, Butterfly Gem wants to be outside as a normal pony like all the others. However, King Crowned Feather is very protective about his daughter. So, one night, she sneaks out of the castle and out of the kingdom and have her chance to be a normal pony. When her parents discover that she was gone, the guards were sent to find her. As she avoided to be seen, Butterfly Gem encounters Fluttershy for the first time and the two ponies were surprised that they look exactly alike. Before either of them could say anything, Butterfly Gem heard the voices of the guards and quickly fled, leaving Fluttershy confused why she ran all of a sudden. When the royal guards appeared, they mistook Fluttershy for Butterfly Gem and took her back to Pegasoplis. As she watched them leave, Butterfly Gem decided to use her magic to look like Fluttershy and go to Ponyville so that Fluttershy's friends wouldn't suspect what was going on.

As she pretended to be Fluttershy, Butterfly Gem used her magic for things when no one was looking. Twilight and the others began to suspect what was going on. When Snuggles, Butterfly Gem's pet winged Pomeranian appears and happily leaps into her arms, Butterfly Gem tells them the truth. They return to Pegasoplis and Butterfly Gem tells her parents what she did. Later, she and Fluttershy sang a song together at the coronation of her older sister, Ruby Scarlett.
