The maid cafe from Las Cruces Anime Days 2013!Last year I was Rin but this year I'm actually Gumi (who is my favorite). As last year, the cafe was soooooo much fun! We had a really good turn out and had quite a few people thank us for a good show.
This years maid cafe was different than last year because last year we did a vocaloid cafe both days. However, this year we did vocaloids and saturday and then had a Black Butler (kuroshitsuji) cafe on sunday. I was Alois for that so I get pictures from that cafe I'll post them 8D I would list all of our maids and their accounts but more than half of them don't actually have DA's so I'll just not....

The thought of cute girls bowing to me, and calling me 'master' and all the other things they do, just makes me wanna crawl under a chair. I cant even take the guys at game stop talking to me. So I know I couldnt take any of that. WAY to embarassed > <

oh I see. Well lucky we don't do that 8D because we are a cosplay cafe we need to stay in character and often times bowing and doing cute things like that don't apply. Like for example, we also do a Black Bulter cafe and I'm Alois for that so there is no way he's going to bow and call someone master XD but it's understandable. Not a lot of people handle that kind of attention well.

yeah it's not bad, but the second season is just....don't watch it....first season is good though XD
Yeah there aren't every many copslay cafes. Most of them are just girls in maid dresses....so our cafe is a novelty 8D they are quiet a bit of fun if I can make that guess from how the cafe I work in runs. We usually have full shows and everyone seems to really enjoy getting to talk to the characters.

It was a good con. I just wished I could have enjoyed it more, but working in the cafe meant I had very few breaks.

I sat up front during that Let's Play and drew (big mistake when your eyesight is poor in low light like mine).
Ah! Who did you play in the Cafe? I only got to go to the Black Butler one on Sunday and sat at the table Sebastian was waiting on. I wore the pinkish/yellow/blue shirt.

ahh thats cool 8D I know, our lighting wasn't the best, but last year we had a few mores lights on and we all just about died from the heat. We still got really hot during the cafe this year but it was a little better.
I was the annoying Alois that ran around and bugged people....not to far off from his character but it felt a little weird to be bothering everyone XD I was also Gumi for the vocaloid cafe but you didn't see that one (and I will say that I think the BB cafe was better...because we all had more fun with it).

I'm excited now for the next year, I am trying to prompt some cosplaying friends of mine to come visit the next con with their costumes.
Aw, I remember you! You were not annoying! The whole cafe was adorable and I regret not getting to see the Vocaloid one. The best part is we mentioned the toy cat was taken from our table and Sebastian shouted, 'Aw HELL naw!' and ran off. That made my friends squeal.

Oh thank 8D I felt like I was pushing everyone's buttons...I mean Alois does that but it still felt odd. Do you know which show you went to? Like were in our first, middle or last? Black Butler was actually more popular than the vocaloids cafe was. I think it was because a good chunk of people saw the vocaloid cafe last year but ehh...I still think BB was better because we got to talk to everyone in the cafe more. I think I remember that....was if Lizzy who took the cat? I remember having to chase Lizzy to get a cat once but I'm not sure if it was this time XD

I was at the final show of the BB cafe. I sat at Sebastian's table next to the guy dressed as Conner from Assassin's Creed III.
It was so much fun, also hilarious when William dragged Grell away to put him in a dress.

ahh cool 8D our second and final shows were the best of the three so you got to see a good one. I remember the assassin's creed guy!
Yeah, I think a lot of people found that funny XD and then Grell butting into the bubble pop dance. I'm not sure what themes we will be doing next year, but hopefully at least one day we will do Black Butler and by then we'll probably be better at it 8D

Yay 8D I'm not sure if we will be doing a vocaloid cafe again...but we do our best to make any cafe theme we do the best it can be! I think there was some talk about a Hetalia cafe but I'm not sure...I would love to go to your ask-a-nation panel but chances are I won't be getting many breaks throughout the day

Thanks! After this year, which was my first Anime Con ever, I'm really excited to be going back. Hopefully, however, my costume will be much better. I'm planning to style a wig instead of hair-dye this summer.

ahh no it wasn't this year. We had Vocaloids and Black butler this year. I just remember hearing one of our maids mention Hetalia as a possible theme for the future 8D I kind of hope we have a hetalia cafe because I'd get to be England with an accent and such.
Cons can be a lot of fun and LCAD is pretty well put together for it's size and good luck with the wig!

They are! For a first time, I was a bit nervous and socially awkward, but it's to be expected!
From what I've heard/seen from friends, LCAD outdid itself, even if it's only been going on for 4 years.

I had to have an accent for the whole day for the Black Butler cafe so I'm not to bad at it.
I know that feeling, but like you said, it's to be expected. LCAD has grown nicely over the years. I've never gotten to attend it as a normal person (because of the cafe) but what I see and here looks really good. It did seem like it had a little more to offer this year so that was nice.
