okay so I'm not that good a drawing horses but at least i tried. it only took me an hour thats probably why its so lame. but anyhughes, here it is.Related content

Too grey? Hmmm i guess if you had intended it to be a bay, perhaps your scanner/photo munched it...but don't worry, the beautiful skill you have at shading still shows through

My sister said my drawings were flat and lacked talent =/ she was the one who said it was too grey and that it didnt look good

wow way to give you encouragement!!! Horses are very hard to draw and i can see the effort you put in for realism. You did very well and the shading definitly gives texture. Criticism is useful but she wasn't very constructive in her criticism. Talent definitly shows...keep practising and i'm sure you'll surprise yourself...and her

I use a normal lead pencil, an HB I think...

no I use a normal lead but I smudge an layer a lot

I also smudge alot if i draw with pencils in black and white. but it never lookd this good xd

I draw like a printer so to speak well at least thats how my boyfriend describes my style...though I do sometimes draw an outline then fill in the drawing.
