Description
Painting originally started in oils and completed in Photoshop.It is what I hope to be the cover to a sci-fi novel that I am writing called Chrome Rain.

Nice. I like the off-centre-ness of the girl in front. There's probably a better word for it than that, but you know what I mean. However, if this is going to be a book jacket, won't your hero's head be obscured by the title? Conventionally, the top half of this kind of cover art is usually filled with sky or something similarly unimportant, so it doesn't matter if text goes over it.
I like the sound of the plot. As a big William Gibson fan, it sounds like my kind of book.

Thanks again for looking at my work, Bristow-Baily! Yeah, Merlin's head would be obscured if the title and other writing was in the typical spot of a book cover. What I envisioned is having the painting itself enclosed in a border below the title writing...maybe I'll do a mock-up just for the hell of it.

The story is about a digital drug that is running rampant through the 'wired' community called Chrome Rain. It's killing people with augmented brains that are using it.
In my rendition of the future, people can have their skin tinted just like people get their hair colored nowadays.
Basically, The green guy is what I call a data diver (hacker thief) that gets a job to move some data to secure locations (islands) in the Ocean (the internet) by a criminal organization. Unfortunately, he is forced to have to dump the data in the closest secure location he can find due to an attack by a rival data diver working for the government. That secure location ends up being the virtual drive in a super star singer's head named Strawberry Anna (the woman with red skin). The data diver, named Merlin, has to track down the actual person and retrieve the data before he is taken out by the mob. That's just the surface story.

It's a work in progress. I have so many story ideas that they all fight for my attention in my mind. That's mostly because I don't have anyone demanding anything from me in regards to finishing any of them. That's part of the reason I want to work with someone else...I'll be forced to focus on the work.
