Description This is the finished character sheet for Rapunzel. She is a rather lively girl, growing up on the sea she has a strong sense of adventure and restlessness. She has her moments of pensiveness whilst staring at the sea, but generally she prefers to be doing something. Staying in the lighthouse has made her insufferably impatient and short tempered, and as a result of her captivity she has invented uses for her ridiculously long golden locks.

The story i revamped for her is below if you're interested.

The Pirate Lord was looting a small island named ‘Gothel’ (which was the name for the witch in the original Grimm’s version) and was caught and captured. The Governor knew that the Pirate Lord would not remain in his custody long being so well known and sought after, so he proposed that the Pirate Lord go free, and in return he would give him his firstborn child after it had turned twelve so the Governor could groom them to be his heir (anything before twelve being too much trouble mind you), and the Pirate Lord agreed foolishly thinking he would never see any of the children he fathered anyway. Not long after that he met and fell in love with a woman, and he married her and soon she was pregnant. He was so enamoured he ignored his pact and after a few years forgot about it completely. The Governor came to collect the child, so named Rapunzel because the Pirate Lord’s wife craved it (it’s some kind of leafy lettuce plant) to eat when she was pregnant with her. So Rapunzel was taken and locked in a lighthouse on the island where she was tutored in the ways of politics and such forth by the Governor. She was allowed no sharp objects like scissors because she knew how to turn them against others (pirate) and so her hair grew long, and she planned to use it as rope to shimmy down, but she has to wait as the lighthouse is on a cliff and her hair is not long enough yet. So she remains there until some dashing wannabe pirate comes along and tries to rescue her and so forth.

Thanks. I had a quick browse of your characters and they're pretty good for someone your age. I have a couple of reccomendations for you though if you're serious about getting into manga.

1. Stop drawing on lined paper, it ruins the picture and you rely too much on the lines to help size your charatcers.

2. For each character, draw up a charcter sheet like i did so you get used to drawing them more than once and you can see what they look like from all angles.

3. Write a short bio on each character about their likes, dislikes, personality etc. They only way to make a good chracter is to know them as well as you know yourself.

4. Think about everything when you design them, and why. Your outfits are cool but make sure you have a reason for giving them certain things. For exammple, Rapunzel's outfit was based on a mix between pirates clothes and 18 century ladies dresses, she has pink in relation to the fact she's a princess, shoulderpads because she would be groomed by her father to be a captain, even her belt buckle has a crown on it because she's royalty. Never put things on a charcter just because they look cool, or if you do at least make something up for why they have it. It'll keep your characters consistent.

Sorry the comment was so long but i think you have potential and this will help you. Have fun! ^___^

Wow thanx a lot for all the advice. I did stop drawing on line paper just recently for that very reason . As for the outfits and weapons there is a back story to all of it (although at 1st it was because it looked cool XP.) Im working on thier bios right now its just that it takes FOREVER lol. Right now im trying to think of a solid backstory for Aden but nothings coming up <=/. But anyway thanx for the advice and dont be afraid to critique my work good or bad I want to hear it .

You're welcome.

Your seemed to have alot of characters though. I'm not sure if they're all from the same story but i'd reccomend choosing the four of five main ones and drawing some other scenes with them doing everyday things they might do like eating or brushing their hair, just so you can distinguish the differences between them, as you would know people don't often do things the same way. How they do even menial things reflect on their personality.

It's nice to hear someone take advice so easily in stride though to kudos. XD

I do have alot of characters but then again I have a big story so it kinda evens out. The drawing them doing normal stuff is a real good idea, so Ill start doing that. And I believe that all advice is good for you in some way, and I kno that I still have a long way to go before I can call myself a pro so any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

That's very wise of you, i think with you're head screwed on right like that you'll do well. Just don't get to full of yourself when you're friends and others start saying you're so good. There's always room for improvement.

Of course of course . My head got a lil big once or twice but someone always put me in check in a hurry but that was when I was a lot younger, I'm pretty much set as far as my ego goes now. Besides I think Im already my own worst critic lol .
