I love this guy! I've always been fascinated with sea-life, but I've never really attempted to draw full-on sea creatures. So this is my first official sea creature, a harbor seal! I was trying to draw a beluga, but the form all came out funny from the beginning of the sketch, so I just let my hand do the work. My next character will for sure be a beluga (cause they are GORGEOUS). I'm not sure what to call this harbor seal, but I'm thinking Boulders. I kind of like that name for him

I've only seen harbour seals in captivity, but their shape really lends them to being put into images, I've photographed one sleeping, they're very cute beasties
