Description First of all, I know, it's summer, but this was made for 's Spring competition. I've been working on it for looong looong weeks, meanwhile I had exams and everything.... I thought it wouldn't be readx in time...

So here it is! I canged scool this year, and in the city where I'm learning now there is a zoo. So with my friends we decided to have a look at it, and we waited for it for two months. So this year spring was equal with zoo for me. And I think there must be a magical zoo, and if there is, the Potters and the Weasleys would definitely go there

Harry Potter and all the characters belong to J. K. Rowling
Patterns are from brusheezy.com, free4illustrator.com and the stones are from
I don't remember where I've found the trees... somewhere with google.

Well you are a great digital artist! I can do digital, but I don't enjoy it very much and I am better at traditional, I think. Yes, this is my first time reading HP! I only two days ago started the first book! It's so creative and funny, I see why it's so famous and popular! I love it!

It is! And athough the Hungarian transation is realy good, I wish I had all in original. I read the 1st, 6th, and 7th in Engish but woah... mindblowing!

Wow, cool, you read the translation, too? Yeah, it's probably hard to top an original!

cheeseofliberty In reply to YussraMTE [2011-07-30 20:02:05 +0000 UTC]

I started reading when I was 7, and began learning English only 3 years later The last two I read in Engish at first, because there were spoiers everywhere! If I had waited for the translations, I would have known the whole story by the time it came out. When the 7th came out, I bought it the day it came out in England as well, and when I arrived home, I sat down with tears in my eyes (I waited for it for 9 years) and the moment I opened it, the end was told in TV. I was extremely frustrated. So, the earlier you read, the less spoiler you hear Soo... you read it in Arabic? (Sorry, it's hard to write this long sentences in English, I hope you understand what I ant to say, even though it's probably full of mistakes

Haha, you're right. I knew the story before I watched or read many HP movies and books! This is so unlucky that you finally got the book and the end was ruined for you right before you finally got to read it! At least I don't have to worry about spoilers. I know the whole story, so I'm just reading because my friends told me it would be great and even better than the movies (and they were right)! No, I live in America and speak English better than I speak Arabic and I'm just reading it in English. I don't even know if an Arabic version exists! It probably does, though. I saw fourth HP movie, I think it was, in the Middle East, however, and there were Arabic subtitles on the bottom of the screen. (Don't worry, your English is great!)

[link] There is The Arabic version has the same cover that we have here. Don't think you know the whole, there are many things in the books that were not in the movies I'm can still surprise me, there are things I realise only after I have read the whole series. You really have to pay attention to every single tiny details, really. It's just unbeieveable, that woman must have two brains, or I don't know. She's a witch

Haha, yes, she is magical! Cool, it's great to see the Arabic version! (In Arabic, we don't have the letter p, so it actually says Harry Botter! ) I've only almost finished the first book now, but yes, even this early on, I'm noticing the differences between the book and the movie. The biggest difference is that the book is funnier!!!

cheeseofliberty In reply to YussraMTE [2011-07-31 17:02:57 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes, they left out the best jokes! And for example Peeves is not even in the movies, not for a single minute! But the Philosopher's stone and the Chamber of secrets movies are more or less following the book, the others not really. For example in the Order of phoenix movie there's no quidditch at all! I think David Yates didn't really get the point of the story. The first two movies were son English, it couldn't be more, it got the feeling the books have, but... I was so excited about the last movie, but honestly, it was a complete shame. Terrible... Anyways, Harry Botter sounds funny Though in Hungarian we have a stronger p, and in general there are more differences between voiced and voiceless consonants. So for us even Potter in English pronounciation sounds strange. A lot of the names are translated, but even those that weren't are pronounced elsehow. Hermione for example is too difficult for the most Hungarians Like for Victor Krum, hihi

That's cool! I don't think I've ever heard Hungarian or even a Hungarian accent before. You didn't like the last movie?!? I loved every minute of it!!! (But I didn't read the last book, so I probably would have agreed a bit with you if I had...) I am surprised Peeves isn't in the movies! I do remember Nearly Headless Nick, though. I haven't seen the older movies in years!

Yeah, my brother says with movies of books, the best way to enjoy them is to pretend they are just movies, and not movies of books. I know I really hate it when movies screw up my favorite characters from books. It happens all the time!

Well in this case you're ucky you haven't read them yet. I love the characters in the film, though for example, Neville is blond, such as Petunia and Dudley, Cedric has black hair in the books and Snape's supposed to be skinnier, and Harry.. yessss, black hair and green eyes, which I'm proud of because I have green eyes too, which is rather rare, and Daniel has brown hair and bue eyes, but anyway the're all great. Now the story is copletely ruined, and the feeling... So you have a brother

YussraMTE In reply to cheeseofliberty [2011-08-08 02:06:53 +0000 UTC]

I have two brothers and no sister! You? Yeah, I noticed right away in the book that Harry's eyes are supposed to be green! This is important, because Harry has his mother's eyes. The movie messed that up, I realize! (Wow, you have green eyes? That's beautiful! My friend has Scottish and Irish blood and she, too, has green eyes!) Neville is blond in the book? I never knew! That sad thing is that I imagine all of the characters while reading as the actors from the movie. I would have rather used my own imagination, but the movies have muddled my mind and so it's too for that late now. I still like the movies, though... Just not as much as I'm liking the books! (I'm reading the second book right now... It is SO SO hilarious!!! It really makes me laugh! That Gilderoy Lockhart is so arrogant and he doesn't even see it! Haha! And Harry and Ron and Hermione are just so funny!)

I have only one brother, Gergely (or Geri), and he's 15. Yeah, I have green eyes, and dark brown hair by the way, and I have a really mixed blood My family is rather mysterious about it... I know of Hungarian, German, French and Jewish relatives for sure, but that's all I know. Both of my parents have brown eyes, I have green, and my brother blue. And he's blond. Pretty weird... All my cousins are blond too (okay one just used to be), I'm the black sheep or what
I imagine some characters as the actors too, for example I didn't even remember Ucle Vernon has black hair. Congrats for finishing the first book
Lockhart is bloody idiot... And I just love Ron, really, he's soo sooo funny... just pay attention to the things he says as a joke.

You sound lovely! (Actually, you sound like how my friend looks...) Wow, you guys do not really look like your parents, then! My family, we are all Iraqis and we all look rather similar.
Hahaha, your comment about Lockhart really made me laugh! I'm really far along in the second book now, and I'm just hating him more and more now! He keeps ruining everything! He's the dumbest guy ever and he thinks he's the best! It really makes me laugh! He's gotten Harry into so many bad situations!
Ron might be my favorite, actually! I love when Hermione nags at him and he complains sarcastically! They are a great trio.
Now I've gotten to the part in the book where I've forgotten what happens in the movies, so I actually don't know what will happen next, yay!!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cheeseofliberty In reply to YussraMTE [2011-08-11 06:13:12 +0000 UTC]

I am lovely indeed They are really a great trio, Harry "choose" them wisely. Hermione knows every single book by heart, and is excellent in solving riddles, but Ron is the only one who's from a wizard family, so he knows things they don't, and also his father works in the ministry. I love Arthurs Weasley anyway All the Weasleys actually, except Percy. I hate him. Very much. My ex-boyfriend was somehow like you too, he saw only the first three movies, and he was really happy afterwards. It was also very funny, because he started guessing. He's really creative... I almost died of laughing. You know what I like? When Hermione bugs Ron about his eating habbits. It happens pretty often, and it's hilarious

YussraMTE In reply to cheeseofliberty [2011-08-12 22:09:35 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha, Hermione is always nagging Ron! They are adorable! Guessing the ending would be fun! But I know the story a bit too well for that... I love the Weasleys, too! Haha, why do you hate Percy? I love that he's just as naggy and strict as his mother; JK always compares them to each other. He's not the most fun, but he means well. He is kind of full of it, too...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cheeseofliberty In reply to YussraMTE [2011-08-13 08:28:37 +0000 UTC]

You'll hate him too, believe me. Now he's just a child, don't forget it...He simply vanished from the movies, but he has a bigger part in the books.
Ron and Hermione was always my favourite couple in HP. I've always known Harry and Ginny would be together, but now I read it a really long ago, and in the movies... they just have nochemistry at all, or I don't know, but they seem to be a terrible pairing. But I remember how happy I was for them in the books.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

YussraMTE In reply to cheeseofliberty [2011-08-13 23:10:14 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, everyone says Harry and Ginny are too tense and serious together in the movies. I agree and think all the movies in general are too serious. Maybe all would have been better if the movies tried to include more of JK's humor and light-hearted scenes of friendship and such. Yes, Ron and Hermione are my two favorites! Yeah, I don't remember Percy at all in the movies, but he's all over the books! (Maybe the movie folks thought he wouldn't be too popular, so they didn't put him in as much.) Okay, well, I'm on the third one now and Percy is really starting to act full of it as Head Boy and he has no sense of humor. (I think it's hilarious how much Ron doesn't like him!) But I still don't hate Percy (yet). I'm hating the fortune telling teacher, though...

Yes, it is the right word! To serious! My fathers friend was complaining about dh/1 movie for at least half an hour for me. It's my job to defend Harry, but I couldn't. Although the first part was good in my opinion, but it's too serious, and also kind of depressing. Why so Sirius? xD Geddit? I had to... I love Harry Potter puns...
It is the last year in Hogwarts for Percy in the prisoner of azkaban, just imagine how full of himself he will be when he stars working. I don't say any more, sorry How can he and the twins be related?
Trelawney (I still need to check the spelling...) is a moron. I can't imagine why Parvati and Lavender love her so much!

Yeah, ahahaha, I get it!!! Yeah, too true. First part of number seven was WAY too dark (the movie, not the book). Oh yeah, it is Percy's last year at Hogwarts... Okay, we'll see what happens! I think Percy took after the mom and the twins more after the dad, maybe! I'm glad you hate Trelawney, too! It is so terrible to freak your students out by telling them bad fortunes! (Hey, great memory to remember which two students liked her best!!!)

Well I finished the Prisoner of Azkaban a few months ago At least for the fourth time, I'm not quite sure. The interesting part I remember pretty much everything from 1-4, that I read as a child. I wanted to find a picture for you about Trelawney which made me laugh, but of course I can't find it... ahhh, I got it now. It's on my computer... I'll find you where I got it from... I almost told a spoiler... hmm... remind me of divination when you're reading the Order of Phoenix This piece of informaton wasn't in the movies. or I have even worse memory than I thought. Well I don't it in youtube. Maybe I'm not that dumb after all.

(I'm still halfway through three right now, and I spent the morning reading a different book. It was a short one, translated from Dutch, I think... I tend to do that, read several books at once...) I should get Umbridge's pen, and write down: I must not tell spoilers. It's always hard for me. Harry Potter makes me too excited. I started reading the Order of the Phoenix this morning. I was thinking about reading something else before, but ahh... I started reading a Coelho book I borrowed from my aunt a few weeks ago, but Harry Potter is too tempting. As Oscar Wilde said the only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Although I don't really follow Oscar Wilde's wisdoms, he wasn't really moral... And I'm not a man... I love Oscar Wilde though. What was the point? Ahhhh, I'm reading Harry Potter still, that's the point.

Yeah, that's the one I'm talking about. His friend paints a portrait of him, because so handsome and young (Oscar Wild was openly gay, and so was the 80% of his characters) and Dorian wished his portrait would grew old instead of him.
