I was thinking of doing this in color, but something was a hair off to me.It's fine as it is, just not at the level I was aiming for.
Guess I have more rust to shake off.

Love it! If you colored it, I think you're worried about the largess of the hair being too flat and dominating. You could make it prismatic with multiple different colors next to each other and try to balance it with the colors in the background. PS LOVE THIS PHOTO. SO SWEET
