The use of PNG transparency is nothing short of sexy 
IE6 and below have PNG transparency issues, but IE7 fixes that (thankfully, since I didn't want to have to deal with legions of people whining about how images look funny on my old site. Old site's gone, so I don't have to worry so much, but still...)

trippy. makes me think of a tree and an explosion at the same time
it's interresting. it has a lacquered look to it. it tones down the vividness of the colors. I like it
