ISO 800 | 1/125 | F/5.6 | 90mmI was sneaking up on the pidgeon because I knew it would take flight when I got close enough, but then someone else came walking up and startled the bird. Consequently this was shot somewhat blind as I was looking at the person. I actually really like how the blur came out and like the whole composition with the rusting/peeling overpass.

hmm...i think it kinda weird how only the tail feathers are in focus, but i must say this is an impressive shot

Thank you! :] Basically what happened with this one is that the whole bird would normally be in focus or I should say _is_ in focus, but you get a whole bunch of motion blur with the wings. Because it was fairly overcast that day the depth of field is somewhat shallow which throws the beams and whatnot into a soft focus. The DOF is a bit shallower than I would have expected... but I still like the way that it came out...

i think it is better this way, it faws the eye to the bird cus it is diffrent from it surroundins, by, being in focus.
