When I little thing, my grandmother would always read me the book "Round Robin" by Jack Kent. [link]
It was a silly story about a robin who overindulged until he was too fat to fly south for the winter. Instead, he is forced to hop his way there in the snow and runs into all sorts of trouble. In the end, he loses the weight from hopping and makes it to a tropical paradise where his birdie friends are waiting for him. After he arrives, he is so hungry from hopping that he eats and eats and eats and gets too fat to fly back north. The End. Like I said, it's a silly story.

My grandma was kind enough to give me this storybook and for Christmas, I made her this illustration and framed it in an oval frame. I hope she likes it! I tried to keep that folk-art vintage-y feel.
