Description Yeah I'm sure you can imagine why I'm making this post, given the release of the new movie. When I watched the new Spiderverse film, and afterwards saw so many cool Spider-sonas I realized that I was very much underutilizing what can be done with a Spider-sona design. And so, I decided to be a bit more adventurous with this redesign! But also add more familiarity, giving him the standard Spidey eyes. Anyways, onto some general information about the Spidersona.

Frostbite spider (secret identity Saputo Wynter) is a seventeen year old who was bitten by a radioactive spider during a hiking trip, giving him the typical Spider-character abilities, in addition to an immunity to cold weather. Basically, he cannot get hyperthermia, or be physically impacted by any colder temperatures. I also think he might have ice abilities? But if he does, he hasn't yet learned how to use them.

In this universe. The avengers, fantastic four, X men, and all the fancy super heroes/super hero teams exist. Just with slightly altered versions of all of them. But "normal" Spider-Man (Peter Parker) never existed. Saputo didn't live anywhere near the big name super heroes, so when he got his own powers he wanted to become his own super hero. Making his own costume and trying to solve any crimes... But it took him awhile to find anyone committing crimes, he came close to giving up after awhile of waiting for any crime until he finally found some crimes in down town areas. News broke out about a new superhero, who everyone assumed was some kind of new avenger. The misconception of him being an Avenger ended up becoming embarrassing for the actual Avengers, who didn't want the kid to damage their reputation. Even sending a custom-made new suit for him due to not wanting his garbage costume to be what people think of as the Avengers standards. (The costume the avengers gave is what is shown in the ref), the Avengers, and all other superhero teams seem disappointed by him. Unhappy with his inexpertise, and not contributing much to solving any problems on account of him being a teenager. And once word got around about a new superhero in an otherwise safer country people who had poor luck against super heroes in New York would shift their focus to British Columbia, Canada. Quickly weaker villains started doing damages in BC just because they wanted an opponent in their league. Giving him the nickname "Practice hero", which has lead to him becoming very controversial, since his mere existence has brought so much danger to his home. His only fans are people who think the idea of a local super hero is cool. Essentially, his only supporters are other teenagers. But even than, the ones more politically aware started to resent him too. John Jameson, the son of Jane Jonas Jameson being the most vocal about his concerns. (Oh and for additional info John Jameson and his father both live in BC as well here, Jane Jonas Jameson is just a news reporter) Jane starting a YouTube channel against Frostbite (and covering some other things), even launching a server which largely talks about Frostbite hate. Saputo joined this server wanting to troll people but quickly made friends there, and although he was using another anonymous online alias there, he decided to not reveal his super hero identity just because he enjoyed everyones company.

I imagine how controversial Frostbite is would be where the whole "power and responsibility" thing comes in. He actively hates being Frostbite due to the harm its caused. But he won't be able to quit due to all the new villains. Ah, classic dilemma.

__________________________________________________________

As I said in my first post about Frostbite, I intend to make some other oc's/AU characters for this. But just for fun. I think I have a very interesting premise here! Idk, might make a short story or two about him in the future.

The thing I like about this dude is his writing, since he's aspects of my personality some people online might be more familiar with. I view the Spider-Person alter ego to be the person without their insecurities, and doubts. At least when it comes to speech. All those quips, and fun jokes. So I get to write him as purely that. At least, until the mask comes off.

It was cool getting to do another self portrait, finally. I wanted to be very stylized so it was difficult making it actually look like me, with that expression. I think I did alright! Although, I think my art style looks very.... Bland here. Since my art style is defined by how I draw proportions, my shading, and any animalistic features. This character being a human removes two of those. And I was too lazy to go all-in for the shading (this art took five hours as is leave me alone XD)
