Well, this certainly took forever. I think it was worth it though, I’m really proud of how it turned out. This is my entry for Arerona ’s Undertale Anniversary Community Project, which you can check out here:www.deviantart.com/arerona/jou…
I did a lot of experimenting (digitally) with this picture, and I learned a lot of new techniques I look forward to using again in the future.
This is based on an AU idea I had about a month ago. I haven’t done much with it yet, but the basic gist is that all of the monsters in the Underground are already dead, and they’re stuck, unable to move on to whatever afterlife awaits them. Instead of physically freeing them from the Underground like in the original game, Frisk goes through and helps the monsters by freeing their souls from whatever emotion is holding them back. Kinda dark, but ya know, so is my mind XD. Right now I’m calling this Cry of Souls, but I might change that later on.
