I see you have some really wonderful stuff too. I am stuck in the shallows, but there is nice stuff there too.

This Herit Crab reminds me of myself. Old, ugly, but still hanging on.

Actually there was another smaller hermit crab in the other shell that was hiding from this big guy.

Totally awsome shot! That crab has an awsome shell, it has a metallic texture that contrasts to the softness of the back ground.

This is beautiful. More of that fantasy white/pink sand. And the sunlight is dappled and beautiful.

Oh, so cool! A new character for the story. This is Samson ( [link] ), racing to the rescue of poor Starfish. He is carrying a weapon to fend off the fierce sea squirts, the magical Shell of Light. The only weapon of its kind, it acts as a shield against the deadly mines. Sea squirts flee its deadly power. If only Samson can get there in time!!

Mmmm...I don't think I will be getting rid of this one, it is great around the water, but I do want a Digital SLR with a telephoto lens for far away, action, and low light shots.

Beautiful shot.
The colors are awesome, and the light on the shell and the sand is great. underwater shots, especially with the white sand, just have such a happy, clean, fresh feeling to me.

Wow, beautiful shot; great colors Is the hermit crab as big as it looks?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cheneym In reply to ArtFreek [2006-06-19 23:22:04 +0000 UTC]

Thanks

Not sure of the size, but I estimate it is a little smaller than how he appears on the screen. They are a large species of hermit crab. The most common one here.
