I'm very excited about the ending and how it will end, but on the other hand I'm sad that my fav Shoujo manga is ending already T___T Wanted lots more dorky Shizume moments uhuhuhu..

I'm so glad you understand why Sensei did that T^T It was hard for him to do, but you know he had to since Yukichi got really mad at him.. even tho he didn't want to do it, he ended it like that. If he had said the truth, then Suzume wouldn't have been able to move on.
I'll feel sad too, but I have hope because of various things:
1. The title of the manga is Hirunaka no Ryuusei, meaning Daytime Shooting Star. Suzume and Shishio are the only ones who have spoken about it. They are each others daytime shooting star!
2. Suzume isn't over Shishio yet, so she hasn't completely moved on and Shishio is still in the game.
3. In Shishio's name is the animal Lion hidden (Shishi) and for Mamura it is Horse. I read that there was a song or something about these two animals where the Lion wins in the end.
4. There was a doodle Yamamori Mika-sensei made of an older Shishio in his fourties and she wrote next to the doodle that she didn't know if he still would be teaching, but if he did, it would be in the countryside. That's where Suzume comes from!
5. There also was this Mamura VS Shishio contest on twitter held by Yamamori Mika-sensei, the mangaka, to see who was popular. People had to vote, but she said the outcome wouldn't effect the ending of the manga, since that was already decided a long time ago. She must've already known that Mamura is really popular in the HnR fandom.
6. People say that Shishio is Yamamori's favourite character, even tho she said he is hard to draw, she draws him quite often. ^^ I also read that she didn't understand all the hate for Shishio.
I do hope there will be an anime in the future! The manga did became more and more popular in Japan as well and since more and more people are buying the Jap manga volumes, she is being supported all over the world. This is also what she asked for since a lot of pple on twitter talked to her about the newest chapter when it wasn't even out yet (was months ago). This made her really mad so she asked for the support of pple who read HnR on the internet. (HnR has not been officialy translated in English, that is why you have to buy the Jap ones)
And yeahh!! I really love this manga so much >w< The characters are so much fun and the relationships are very exciting. Yuyuka and Togyuu are so adorable together <333 And Chunchun & Shishio are such a cute dorky couple goshh
In the past I followed someone on tumblr who posted things about Shoujo manga and that is where I came across HnR. I did see spoilers like that of the break-up, since I didn't know the manga yet. I thought the art was oke, but started really loving it when I read it ^^

Most pple are hating on him mostly because he "only" hurt Suzume and because they think he is old and a teacher and that he shouldn't do stuff like that.. well he isn't even THAT old. If Shishio were like in his thirties or older, then I could understand but he's in his early twenties! When you're in love, you can't just make that feeling go away you know~
Ah here you can see a picture of them in animal suits. Neko(cat)ta Yuyuka, sparrow is in Suzume's name. That's'why Shishio came up with Chunchun(/Chunsuke) as her nickname. That's the sound sparrows make (kalkasklskssd so adorable right?

I know that (because it was explained in the manga) mura means horse, but instead Mamura being in a horse suit it's a unicorn suit! Meaning that it's done on purpose!!! Hopefully this wasn't a clever accident xD
And yea, Sensai is not THAT old, some people even get married with like a 17 years difference, I think they only have a 8 year old difference?

Shishio and Suzume have a 9yrs age gab, because Suzume was 15 at the beginning of the manga and Shishio 24
Where it is now, Shishio is apparently 26 and Suzume has yet to have her birthday, which is the 1st of December. Then she'll turn 17 :>
