Chenguin — Penny Giles character sheet

Description This is a concept done for my Advanced Conceptual Illustration course at SCAD. If you look through my gallery, you can see that she's actually an old character of mine, the only one I have habitually drawn. Initially she was called Pilot Girl, I'm not sure if the name is gonna stick. Her real name is going to be Penny Giles no matter what though.
In the universe she is in, she would be the sidekick and romantic interest of Konrad, who I will post later. The weapon she holds is a propeller blade.
This is a front and back concept with texture swatches, as if it were for a videogame.

I really love her outfit. It's very unique, especially the pants and the boots.

Just out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on SCAD? I'm looking into potentially transferring out of my current college.

Well, it depends on what you are going for. Unfortunately, not all departments are created equal at SCAD. Illustration and Drawing majors are great, but my experience in ITGM (the game making major) was EXTREMELY disappointing. I have also heard that the current staff on the Sequential (comics) dept is a mixed bag. Fashion and animation are both excellent as well. So, if you want to do Illustration, Animation, drawing for fashion, it's pretty great.

Illustration is what I would be going for. I'm half-way into my current school's illustration program but the college is going through a lot of changes and it's just really chaotic and not a good learning environment. We've lost a lot of good teachers to the changes as well. Not 100% sure I'm going to leave yet though, I may just take a year off so they can potentially iron out all the kinks. We'll see though.

That's a good idea, plus SCAd costs an arm and a leg, so that's something to think about too!!!!!

It was a really good college, and it still sort of is, but it's teetering right on the brink of total ruin at the moment and I'd rather not be around if it decided to fall.

I've gotta agree she looks like cloud. But I have to say I really like this! I'm not too keen on clean sci-fi and she looks like dirty, scavenger-esque almost post-apoc sci-fi and I like that alot.
