Description
My fourth entry for the 2018 Composition Challenge . This one's for the Arabesque theme. And yikes, I've only got til the end of the year to finish the other eight, so I'd better step on it! You might (somewhat) recognize this character from an earlier drawing I did. This is her in a more... powered down form I guess, so less lava-y, though she is kind of in a volcano here, so there's that. This is nine months after the other, and I kinda wanna compare the two, but given that they're both entirely different mediums and that I still don't have nearly as much time with watercolors as I've had with colored pencils... I don't think it'd be fair. At least, that's what I keep telling myself because as much as I like this, I still reeeeeally like the old one and I don't feel like this has topped that. Is it the extra details and the white lines? ...Yeah. Probably. Speaking of which, it's been so long since I've done anything with colored pencils... I should revisit that soon. Expect to see the return of my colored pencil artwork. It's been a hot minute since I've done a cat painting, too... dang, I gotta draw and paint more.
This is another thing done on the watercolor paper that I hATE, by the way, but after this, I'm now out of that! So yaaaaaay, you're probably gonna see some slightly more high quality stuff from me sometime soon.
