Description
Name: Sibyl Evelyn Ostara
From: Kythera, VenusOriginally from the Sol Society capital of Ceres, Sibyl was pushed into an engineering degree, though dancing and performing - professions looked down on as non-scientific and therefore jobs for the dumber and poorer, the lower castes, has always been her passion. For several years, she lived and worked in Kythera, Venus, on new spaceship development, and took advantage of the cities' huge art scene to do her shows and performances of the side. When the program, as well as her visa, both ended, Sibyl opted to run away and defect to Ganymede, where she had more freedom, rather than continue to have her life dictated by the Sol Society.
Despite being a rebellious, runaway artist, Sibyl does give off a rather cold, calculated, serious vibe. She does still utilize her skills as an engineer on a small pirate vessel, though she also has plenty of opportunities to perform in this lifestyle - though most of her venues are underground.
This is my 2019 Composition Challenge entry for Perspective! No, I didn't forget about that, even though it's June already and I've only submitted like, one so far. I've got a few more done but not posted and most of the rest at least planned, I promise.
EDIT: Oops, I'm dumb, I submitted two different paintings for perspective and didn't even realize until three months later. Let's say the other one is the entry for that, okay? Okay.
This is one of my favorites from this zodiac series, personally! And I'm nearly done with the last one (Though I'm behind in actually posting things as always, lol.) I love her design and the way the colors turned out and the sorta red starry dome roof thing with the selenite pillars - and yes, I know selenite is a very soft and fragile crystal, I have several pieces myself, but like... I honestly just thought it would look cool. If it's not clear her dress is based on a flapper dress and the bottom part is supposed to be beaded fringe, she's wearing ballet flats, and her cape is actually meant to be belly dance wings.
