That's really cool.
Yeah I got some fandom t-shirts and a new phone and all that kind of things one needs in the world. I still didn't get a Tardis because my Mum doesn't know Doctor Who (it never really aired here in Germany) so she always forgets to get me merchandise of that which I guess I will just have to buy from the money I got from my grandparents then XD
What about you did you get nice gifts?

Ooooooh, sounds like you got some really nifty stuff, then! I didn't get any DW stuff either, which both amused and surprised me a bit. I got an obscene amount of thread (which is good. More sewing can be done!), a really cool teas trainer shaped like a rubber duck and both Tangled and Brave on DVD. I was quite happy, despite the lack of DW. Besides, the Midnight convention was a great Christmas gift to myself! 8D
And I feel your pain about DW not airing on TV. DW hasn't been properly aired here in Sweden either. ;___;

Wow that sounds great. My parents never get me any DVDs because I am such a movie addict my wishes in that department change from week to week, so if they buy me something at the beginning of December I would want something else much more by Christmas and though I told my Mum I am still happy about the movies, she kind of wants me to give the thing I want the most at the moment, so she ends up always slipping me some money so I can buy dvds myself (and I did buy myself Brave on Saturday cause I love love love that movie)
It's really strange because Torchwood is airing here but DW isn't and Torchwood is on one of those sidechannels so most people still don't know about it
But it's worse with Sherlock. Sherlock is airing on the public channels (those that take money from you for airing but mostly are for elderly people cause all the good movies and shows are on the private channels that are for free but have to show commercials to earn the movie the airing costs them) and now Elementary is airing on the private channels (and one of the well known ones too) and everyone is like "wow look a modern sherlock holmes" and I am like "all my crys people watch the bbc version please" because I don't mind John being a woman but I do mind the completely out of characterness from Sherlock I have noticed in all the previous and what not.

Ahhh, one of the cons of having interests that changes quickly, I suppose. But it's very sweet of your parents to want to give you what you want the most! Brave is a great movie - I got it for Christmas myself (I can't remember if I've told you that already or not, but it bears mentioning again!)
Oh god! It's the same thing over here, actually. Torchwood but not DW! It's insane! Here Torchwood actually airs on a rather big channel and it's apparently getting pretty good viewing numbers. Why no one's bothering to show DW is anybody's guess!
You know, that just sounds sad. <___< I think Sherlock aired on a public channel here as well, but here the public channel is considered for everyone, even if, yes, there are more elder people watching it than youngsters, it's still popular among all ages to watch.
