i've gotten a few questions about my brushes, where i get textures, etc, etc. so here we go!a few important notes to start off with -
right click an empty spot and select a tool type to create a new brush! the options given are pencil, airbrush, brush, watercolor, marker, eraser, select and deselect/select eraser, bucket, and binary pen. pay attention to which tool type is used in each brush; it will definitely affect the results you get!
several brush shapes (first drop-down menu) and textures (second drop-down menu) are included with the default version of SAI; additional textures for brushes and papers can be downloaded HERE !
blogs like ptsbrushes and groups like PaintToolSaiBrushes are full of cool brushes!
in addition to these brushes, which are my own, i really love

hmm, what do you mean? there's no download involved in the brush settings - you just need to create a brush and then make the settings the same as the screenshot from the link! (sorry for such a late response OTL)

ahaha i actually forgot about all of my brush names until i had to screenshot them and then realized...oops
I don't mind at all, I'm happy to explain (or try to, at least aHA) -
this requires that you have winzip or a similar file compressing service! first, download the zip files for each of the components you want. blotmaps and elemaps (for example, Middle_Flat; first drop-down menu) change the brush's shape, brushtex affects a brush's texture (e.g. Dirt 06; second drop-down menu), and papertex changes the texture or pattern of the layer you're working on (on the same window as the layers > Paints Effect > Texture).
once all of the zip files have been downloaded, unzip them into the corresponding folders in your original sai folder - brushtex should be unzipped into the brushtex folder, papertex into the papertex, etc.
close sai if you had it open previously and open the application start-sai, which should also be in the PaintTool SAI English Pack folder. this should do something similar to the rewriting of conf. files automatically, i believe? close start-sai and open normal sai again, and it should work!
if not, then go back and follow the directions in this post , which explains it much more clearly than i can, if i'm not making sense OTL
