Xenoblade Chronicles has eaten my life as of late. It's SO GOOD. and Shulk is a HUGE NERD. So I drew this to illustrate his nerdiness.It is a total rip-off of this: [link] and I regret nothing. Shulk and Twilight Sparkle would be nerd BFFs and you know it.

I love Xenoblade too, especially the combat system. Usually, I DREAD RPG combat systems, not to mention random encounters, but here, I often find myself actively seeking out prey!

I'm the same. I found a used copy of it in gamestop the day after christmas and I was like, "I'm getting it. Definitely getting it." Best 50 dollars I ever spent (so far).
Now I've beaten the game and gone through most of new game plus. I really don't have much to do in it now, aside from thrashing some superbosses (I've beaten them all already, including the lvl 120 one).
I think I'll have Xenoblade on the brain for the next few months...

I think one of the reasons why so many love XC is because of Shulk's nerdiness; it's relatable. Well, I can relate to it cause I love the game and it ate up my life.

There are a lot of reasons I like the game, but the characters being interesting and atypical definitely contributed. Sure, some of them fit into archetypes, but they aren't defined by them.
But yeah, you don't get too many JRPG protagonists like that. Just another reason to like the guy.
