No, not many people have.
Ah, the comic where we first meet Maurice.
Such memories from when I drew the part of the series in the resteraunt.
Maurice himself is named after =Cykranoshka 's picture of Kisame holding a Fish ( [link] )...which is a reference to a French Advertisement, where there's a little boy saying to his fish "Come to Daddy, Maurice".
Which is why there's a fish on Maurice's Suit.
You know, I guess Maurice is my only Okami OC.
Unless, of course, you count the Bird or the Divine Bra as Okami OCs.
I reused a lot of colours from previous pictures on this one.
Because apparently I forgot to copy over my colour reference pictures.

I was wondering, are those white things that keep the Bird hat up really strong enough to support him or is he floating or something? (maybe he picked up a levitation brush technique somewhere in all the years that he's been Waka's companion XD)

The white wing-like things act like his arms or his legs at times.
However, in the comic, they aren't proping him up, they are just resting there.
So, yes, he is floating--like the bra.
