I believe that 200 years ago Waka was either bald, or had a buzzcut.
Yes, it takes 200 years to grow hair that long.
I haven't cut my hair in seven years and it only goes a little bit past my shoulders.
This is based off a conversation I had with ~Charming-Dimentia .
Twas very long and amusing.
But that's not the point.
So Waka followed them around back when it was Ammy and Issun's grampa, eh?

I used to have very long bae curly hair but then I cut it and now it's really curly medium hair ^^ but like Sarananna said hair grows to a certain length then stops.

Not true. I haven't cut my hair in a year and it already goes almost halfway down my back. Some people's hair only grows to a certain lenth before it stops and some people's hair is just extremely slow.
