Description thought about how cool Fire must have been as a kid and so i drew a few pictures of her being that young - here with her mother, something that sadly never happenend. then Fire would have been a really happy child and propably wouldnt have grown to be the character we know... still a nice thought i think
aww i love the part where Fire meets her grandmother and she describes how similar they are!

didnt know how to draw her mother but surprisingly she looks okay!

hope u like this

Fire and her mother belong to Kristin Cashore!

Aww, cute little Fire
Yes, she probably would have been very different... But I'm not sure she and her mother would have been to happy with Cansrel there...

I feel a very strong urge to read the book again

well in my happy fantasy Cansrel died sorry, i know you like him! and the relationship Cansrel/Fire was a really interesting one but both Fires mother and her father couldnt have existed in her life

I agree, it's either her mother or her father. Maybe it is weird of me to like Cansrel, but I just thought his personality was so interesting! Especially how he was so horrible to everyone, but he had his kind moments with Fire. Another reason why I like the book so much is because there is so much tension and I didn't figure anything out until the very end. The unexpected twists that Fire herself had killed her father? And that Archer died at his fathers hands? And this moment where Fire realizes why Archer attacked one of the men she was questioning? I really like that, when there is stuff I don't immediately know

No, me neither! It's just the way he loves his daughter unconditionally... Such a sad story, really.
I've started to read the book again! Nearly half through in one day
I still love it so, so much!

hey you! its okay. i really tried to make the skin darker, i used brown shades and just a little bit of pink, but after scanning it i had to increase the contrast so the colours didnt show up as good anymore. and i was scared i would ruin the whole pic if i used darker Brown shades because they really look awkward and unsmooth with colour pencils - in my digital work it is much easier to produce darker skin tones. it is okay that you noticed - i forgot to mention it in the description
you dont have to excuse you comment, really , i know its not okay to stay with the brighter tones when they are described different, and i feel bad about whitewashing them. i can just hope iΒ΄ll be able to draw them what they are described like soon!

yeah dark skin is hard to colour with pencils
