I hope I can find some good fanfiction for it. I don't want to stop reading about Katsa, Po, Raffin, Bann, Bitterblue, Fire, Brigan, Saf and all of them yet!

I've read the book. (Actually I finished it a few days ago, I just didn't have the time to write something about it...)
I couldn't put it down. I think it only took me about two days (with school the whole day, so it would have been less in the holidays ) and I always had to read on!
I really like Bitterblue, as a person. A queen kept blind that is awaking to the world. There is so much strain upon her with not being able to trust anyone... This feeling of being pretty much alone in all this mess is captured really well I think. How she slowly realizes that she can't even trust the people she has worked with most of her life? I like that she isn't totally helpless. Katsa tought her how to fight and she can use her skills. At which point we are with the kick-ass-girl-fighters again
I love Saf. He's just... I can picture him so well. I like his recklessness. His pride. Even how he is hurt when he discovers Bitterblues identity. I think he's a nice change to all the other male characters in the other books, because they were always pretty much grown up and had to carry a lot of responsibility. They hardly ever made rash decisions or did plain stupid stuff (like steal a crown? Come on, how juvenile is that! ). Saf isn't grown up. He does a lot of stupid stuff. And for a long time he doesn't want to see that it was stupid. But in the end he takes responsibility for his actions (even if that as well ends in disaster ).
I nearly cried at the end where he departs for the Dells. But I think it has to be this way. It would be really corny if he and Bitterblue would seriously end up together with her being the queen and he "just" a Lienid sailor. It worked in the other books because the two main characters always were of noble blood so they were equal. But Bitterblue and Saf would never be equal in that sence. It's sad but "it's the way of the world". There must be endings like this as well.
I really like the scene of Bitterblue's and Saf's goodbye. Especially when he asks "Would you stop being the queen for me?" and she answeres "Of course not.". I'm pretty sure that in many other books the girl character would have instantly said "Yes, of course", and they would have married and lived happily ever after. Which would have been an aweful ending.
I love Katsa. I love her so much.
The parts I really enjoyed were all this little scenes with Katsa and Po. Playfully trying to drown each other in a pond? Squabbling over the sofa? That's just so typical
But I like the serious scenes as well, their fights, or when Bitterblue asks of Katsa to leave Po in search of another country.
Giddon was actually quite nice. I think it is partly because he as well is really grown up now as well. I didn't like him much in "Graceling" but I think that might be because that book is written from Katsas point of view, and she was really annoyed at him most of the time.
Funnily the character I can picture clearest is Fox. I thought her a bit strange (because she hardly said anything) but I was fascinated nontheless. I think I have to draw her some day.
The meeting with the Dellians was wonderful. It was a bit weird in the beginning to picture Fire as an old woman, but now I think it is really good that she is so old. Because all of the books take place when the heroine is 17 or 18 and letting her play a part where she is 66 shows that life doesn't end at 18.
I can't discribe how happy I felt when she said that she was married to Brigan for 48 years. It feels right somehow. Like they found their peace.
Wow, this comment is even longer than the one I wrote about "Fire"

Tja. Die sind immer etwas lΓ€nger
Oh, yes, Teddy! I really liked Teddy. Because he is really nice and so enthusiastic about his work... and because he forgave Bitterblue. I liked that scene when she came to the shop to apologize, how everyone in there way forgave her (save Saf of course ).
I really liked the difference between Bitterblue and Sparks. She was different as Sparks, behaved differently from when she was called Bitterblue. Somewhere is mentioned, that Sparks would have hit Saf at some point, but Bitterblue wouldn't. I like that difference. But I think that she was more honest as Sparks, whatever Saf may think. I think as Bitterblue she had to play a role sometimes, the strong queen, fearless, without worries, everything under controll, always a plan. As Sparks she could be herself and run around in the city at night and be afraid of hights.
Yes, Bitterblue-Giddon is like a totally different person. It didn't bother me that much (probably because I haven't read Graceling in a while ), I think it might be because he's older now. But still, it is weird.
Well, I wouldn't say that Po is perfect
He and Katsa have quite some disagreements. But he is very different from Saf and I like them both in their own way
I think it's a bit sad that Skye reacted the way he did. Po is pretty lonely in a way.
Do you know what I would really like to read about? Katsas travel through the tunnels and the meeting with the dellians. I would so like to know how that went! Especially Katsa and Fire...
(A watch?!? Thank you so much!!! )
