Gakupo looked at the three-way mirror once again. Now what is bothering him? His suit is ironed flat and the creases only appear by the elbows and knees. His shoes are shined and tied. The shirt inside is white and not dull. But what is it?

Ah! The bowtie! It was slightly angled and imperfect to his eye. He pulled and twisted until it is perfectly horizontal. Once that problem was fixed, he smiled in appreciation of his looks.

He looked like the perfect gentleman, an amiable charlarten. His long hair tied back not with chopsticks, but with a ribbon wrapped around behind his neck. He left two long locks by the side to dangle freely without being tied.

He had to admit to himself, he certainly looked different than his usual oriental, esthatic self. Usually even in a special event that requires him to wear a suit, he opted for a karakusa that shows out his nobility, standing out as different yet by his clothings and personality, he was like an aristrocrat to everyone's eyes, so he is one with them.

Rarely did he wore suits. It just wasn't his style even though everyone insisted that he looks handsome in one. But today he isn't complaining, in fact he feels comfortable and highly conscious of how he would shine out the same with his princess.

Speaking of princess, he sneaked a glance at the door. Is it time to go see his princess and escort him?

He walked out of his dressing room, down the hallway until he arrived at a familiar room he'd always been to. But it was a different atmosphere as he could hear Luka and Gumi being busy with his 'princess'.

"What do you think he'll say when he sees me?" A timid voice asked. He sounded more nervous than usual.

"Don't worry, Piko-kun," Luka said. "I'm sure the first thing he'll say when he sees you is--"

"Beautiful," Gakupo finished Luka's sentence when he stepped inside, in shock and surprise at what he is seeing.

There, sitting on a chair while Gumi is busy with doing his hair and Luka combing it, was Gakupo's princess, Piko. He looks so much like one that Gakupo thought he'll be escorting a girlfriend instead of a boyfriend.

He was dressed in a white dress with black frills and ribbons, wearing black embroidered long gloves on his arms that reached till his elbows. There were two ribbons of different size and length tied on the front and back of his dress. One smaller one tied between his chest while a bigger one was tied to a pretty bow on behind on his back. His short hair had been added with extensions behind his head, looking the same as his white hair. The ends of it were curled with a curling iron, with a few locks tied with another black ribbon. The last designs Luka was busy on were the accessories. She had pinned a black rose by the left side of chest on Piko's dress. There was a bustle added below the waist.

Piko blushed at both the compliment and admiring eyes of his lover.

"T-thank you," Piko answered shyly.

"Your princess is ready," Luka announced, helping Piko to stand up. Gakupo wouldn't be surprised if the white-haired boy is wearing high heels under that dress. Piko looked at Gakupo to take a good look at his prince. There was no other words that be better than perfection. His black suit is unbuttoned to show the deep-maroon coloured vest with gold buttons sewn to it. His clothes were pressed and ironed flat compared to his frilly and puffed up dress. There was a folded handkerchief on the left side of his breast pocket.

"You look more exquisite than any women I've met," Gakupo commented, taking Piko's right hand and bowed down to kiss it.

"Hey!" Gumi shouted. Gakupo looked up at the two women and bowed down in apology.

"No offense, my ladies," he said.

"None taken, Gakupo-san," Luka answered, stopping Gumi from further to start a fight.

"Shall we go to the ball now, my love?" Gakupo asked, his hand still holding Piko's. The white-haired boy blushed, nodding. Like a good gentleman he looks and acts right now, he let his 'lady' to go out of the door first. Slowly they walked towards the staircase. When they turned and carefully walked down the stairs, they couldn't help but stare in awe at the ball.

Prima and Tonio had done a good job at its European tastes to cater and surprise the guests. Slowly they descended the stairs, and many could not help but stare at these beautiful couples. How much of a difference do they look! They could almost mistake Piko as a woman, and Gakupo who looks like he never was a samurai.

Once they've stepped down to the floor, the ballroom is in a racket, comments from men and women about as they take a peek at the two men.

"Looking good, Gackpoid," Big Al walked out and gave a few claps. He was dressed the same as Gakupo, except his suit is buttoned up and is wearing a necktie.

"As to you, Al," Gakupo thanked him. Big Al looked up and down at Piko, and gave a whistle.

"You know, if you weren't with eggplant hair here, I would've been asking you for a dance," Big Al said, giving a good smirk. Piko's face is flushed in red.

"Don't try to steal him," Gakupo said defensively. Big Al laughed, and walked off to the cocktail table for some appetizers.

"Awww~ well aren't you two the sweetest couples we've seen tonight?" Meiko strut up unladylike, holding a glass filled not with wine, but with sake. Guess some things don't change.

"You're elegant today, Meiko-nee," Gakupo said, his sarcasm almost visible. Meiko shrugged it off.

"You know, you're still missing something for your suit," Meiko tapped her chin with the wine glass. She snapped a finger as a light bulb appeared above her head. She disappeared for a moment, and came back with a sword.

"A nobleman can't be without his sword," Meiko gave a large smirk-like smile. It was a ceremonial cutlass sheathed in its scabbard. She clipped it to the purple-haired man's belt and gave a firm nod. "There! Now you're a noble!"

"Yes, now," Gakupo sighed. Satisfied, Meiko went away, saying she's out of sake. Who cares?

There was a tug on Gakupo's right arm, and he looked over to see his lover giving a lovely smile.

"I think it looks lovely," Gakupo's heart melted. He certainly never regretted being with the white-haired boy.

"Thank you, my love," he bowed. Soon the music of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons came out from a small orchestra. Gakupo asked, "Shall we dance?"
"Sure," Piko smiled as Gakupo took him towards the dance floor.

Tonight the noble samurai must treat his lover like a princess he should be.
