Intersting! I slept through the Felurian scenes, came really close to just leafing through the training montage and hated that he willy-nilly killed people who might have been innocent (old woman among the bandits - it's not as though he stopped to ask her). Had the same feelings about that hardcover version, though. SO HEAVY!

Ohhh Felurian wasn't that bad, the Cthaeh was interesting.

The training was "ok" but those scenes discussing if a man was needed to make a baby ... NOT necessary.

Killing the bandits was a bit extreme, I agree.

I've tried the "man has nothing to do with babies" excuse, but it never seemed to work

Oh, I loved the Cthaeh! And Bast's reaction really brought home how bad it was, that was a very nice touch.

Oh yes, those scenes... the point of those still eludes me.
