[ TIER 1 ] The spell calls on 3-5 ghosts to an area of around 10yrd. The temperature will drop a few degrees and while the people within it can’t see or be touched by the ghosts they will feel uncomfortable and experience a lack of concentration due to it.

This spell requires reagents like ashes or anything related to the dead to make it work.
If the spell is in effect for more than a few (5-7) minutes Verin will experience strong headaches and a temporary loss of sight if he overdoes it.

[ TIER 1 ] Verin enters a trance-like state in which he can communicate with the ghosts in the area for about 5 minutes.
He can only talk to one ghost at a time and has to set up a ceremony (he will not let anyone see exactly what that ritual entails, especially if it needs more intricate preparation. There are many rumors about this) to make sure the ghost doesn’t take over him.

Due to the trance-like state he is in he’s pretty much defenseless for the time being. If he uses the spell for longer than the safe 5 minutes he’ll feel extremely nauseous and energyless.
If he gets woken forcibly while in this state he'll experience strong vertigo and nausea. The symptoms appear roughly like in a patient with a concussion.
If no ritual was set up or if he made a mistake during it there’s a chance of getting possessed by a ghost from the general area.

Verin was born in the snowy mountains of Alliquant as the youngest son in a family of 6 that constantly travelled in a nomadic community. His childhood was calm, slightly cold but pleasant as he saw many countries and got to know many different cultures and languages.
It took everyone a while before they noticed he was blessed with magic but when they did the results varied greatly within their community and outside. People from the other countries would avoid him when they heard what type of magic he practiced. Some people in the community itself avoided him too. It saddened him. Made him upset, because he couldn’t understand why they would behave so differently around him now. His mother used to tell him that those people couldn’t understand he was still the same boy he was before and saw the Necromancy before his personality.
That’s when young Verin decided he would put a stop to that and started talking and joking with people, taking the first step. And after a while they did stop seeing him as ‘The Necromancer’ and instead just as ‘Verin’.
The education he got from their elders was something he practically absorbed every time he stepped their wagon and a constant during all the ups and downs of his childhood.

By the time Verin hit the age of 16 he moved out to explore the world on his own. First only for a few weeks at a time. Then months and then years. He saw a lot, learned even more about people and their customs once he didn’t have to get moving every few weeks and could actually take his time. It was around this time that he took up the work of a merchant. He would just pick up anything he found pretty or interesting and resell the items to anyone that would show interest. On the side he helps relay last messages post mortem to beloved family members or similar works which made him known in certain circles.

The streets were silent as Verin paced through them and made his mood known with an uplifting hum. It was 3am in the morning so it wasn’t really surprising he hadn’t really encountered anyone yet. Not even the earliest of merchants could be seen and all the lights were shut off for the time being.
He may not have been able to see where he was going but he was probably the happiest person alive at that moment anyways.
Cradling the small box he had managed to place the highest bid on closer to his chest Verin let out a delighted noise that made Miha sigh and ruffle his feathers.
