I loved it as much now as when I saw it the first time. It's got all the best things in 80s animation: airships, mysterious princesses, robots, pirates...just everything. It's like an animated Final Fantasy film! Here's my tribute to Laputa.

I love your unique style of art, especially your Studio Ghibli pieces. The first Miyazaki I bought for my girls was Kiki, then Castle, and Totoro. We had 4 movies before I knew who Studio Ghibli was, then we started collecting all his movies. The only one I didn't care for was Grave of Fireflies...the story was good but very depressing.

I just watched the Kingdom of Dreams and Madness last night,
which is an amazing documentary about the innerworkings of Studio Ghibli.
Totally worth watching!
