While Sadhya holds the record for the most redesigns, Anya holds the one for being the most drastically different from her original form. In the beginning she was designed to be a giantess, modeled after a female wrestler body type but was paradoxically going to have a very sweet and demure personality.

Well you have to realize back then I was still also obsessed with primarily with big feet, but since then I learned to appreciate all shoe sizes. The rest of my girls run the gamut from size 6 to 13 (which was my intention from the start), so rather than go over the top with a size 14 giant, I would go uber-small with a size 5...

She was also inspired by a good friend of mine who always jokes that no matter how old she gets, she'll always be carded when she buys alcohol because she looks like she's 13 but is actually in her mid 20's.

(and contrary to what you may base off her appearance, she has no relation to Cheshire Cat whatsoever)
