Description
Entered in to CRPhotography's Where I Live contest.Welcome to Surf City, on Topsail Island, in North Carolina, USA. The city was incorporated in 1949 and the population is roughly over 2,000. There is only one standing pier left in the city because Hurricane Fran destroyed the other three.
I find it an amazing place to live. I love the sound of the ocean, the smell of salt in the air. I can go and escape when raising the Ninjababys becomes too stressful, or I just want to people watch and enjoy the feeling of being in nature. It's nice that it's such a small town as opposed to a major city such as Myrtle Beach, because there are so many less people and tourists.

Note to self: go to Bayou Teche or to my hometown take a bunch of pictures. Wait, I should have a bunch of pictures of the Teche from Photography I. I would love to get some pictures of the historic St. Martin De Tours church.

Right? The tourists haven't quite reached the beach yet.
