still practicing this new painting technique that i picked up. progress?bah. me hungry.
EDIT: i've had my first meal of the day and tweaked this image. thanks for the comments, guys. apologies if she looks a bit creepy. that was partly my intention.

To me it looks like she's on the brink of bursting into tears. As if she's been stared at with contempt or disgust for something she did. She looks like at any moment a small tear will trickle down her cheek and she'll whisper "I'm sorry" in a quiet, barely audible voice and disappear.

This is really nice and soft. I do think you could use some more contrast at the main points of interest though.(Eyes, nose lines and lips.)

I like it, the 'smudgy' look to the colouring makes it look as though there are imperfections to her skin, just like a real person.

You're going well, but the lips don't merge with the face too well, the shining effects on them look too blurred and they look fake. You're using photoshop? If so, try doing the shining of the lips only with opacity control of the tablet, no jitter. And both oppacity and jitter settings on 100%
