I couldn't take in this picture without having one of the iconic Ifukube tunes playing. Simply amazing... It feels so real, it's frightening and beautiful at the same time.

Toho actually played with the monolithic skyscraper angle a bit in Return of Godzilla, released in the U.S. as Godzilla 1985. Later 90's entries seem to have diverted most of their funds toward G's wacky adversaries & general pyrotechnics, but the potential of a ginormous toppling skyscraper or two for glorious chaos-especially in the midst of a rollicking multi-monster brawl-can't be denied. Just visualize Our Hero waiting for some poor opponent to line up juuuust right with the SWFC here-then getting a charging start to body-check the whole damn thing down on their head(s). Ouch-ka-bibbles.
