Father, I hold his grace in my palm,
Tell me how not to do it any additional harm,

Anyway....I LOVE this, especially the first line, and how he emphasizes it again, because it's just that much worth repeating. In love with an angel of all things. I don't know if you did this on purpose or not, but it was also neat to catch all the deadly sins that he mentioned, like greed, envy, etc. It was a little bit jarring to go from reading the elegant "Father, I hold his grace in my palm" (beautiful line, by the way) to a line that begins with "for fuck's sake," but everything else flowed very well. The last two lines are my favorites.
Actually, you know what, there's a lot of great lines. I still can't decide between "So help me, Lord, a damn angel" and "I hold his grace in my palm."

I added the sins on purpose, I've been fascinated with them since Full Metal Alchemist and even if I no longer follow the show or anime, I still love the notions. There was bound to be some inconsistencies, since I wrote the first line then got distracted by a whole bunch of things, was ready to go to sleep but decided to finish it anyway, since I never would if I left it there, and being who I am, I posted it before editing it and spent the next 10 minutes fixing glaring mistakes, such as one I was sure would fix itself in the transition between seeing it, and posting it xD

That just figures, lol. Sounds like something that would happen to me.
Ah, I didn't know you like FMA! I don't really follow it anymore either, except scanning the books in the bookstores whenever a new one is released here, but I loved it a couple of years ago. I didn't notice any glaring mistakes, so you must have gotten to them before I saw the deviation.

I loved it, my third anime obsession following YuGiOh and Beyblade. I was really fond of all the homonculi, especially Envy, and had a strong dislike for Al and Roy xD I usually hate main characters, only lately do I like them.
xD Oh I'm glad I did, one line had "I" then "we" so it was a HUGE mistake xD I had changed my mind in the middle of writing it. Some lines, no matter how they fit, if they don't settle with me, I need to change them.

I really liked Envy, but Roy and Al were my favorite characters XD Oh, and Sloth, in the movie, just because he seemed to be the only one who didn't get a happy ending. I didn't like Winry or Wrath, and I'm kind of indifferent to Ed for some reason XD

xD To all their own. My friend had been POSITIVE Roy would be my favorite when she came across it. Oh how she was wrong xD but different folks, different strokes. I can get guy Roy would be likable, I just don't like him. And as for all, well, that's just the slash fan in me hahaha.
We have a common dislike! Winry drove me insane, and another friend of mine liked to call her a "wife beater" in response to her relationship with Ed xD I wasn't crazy about Wrath either.
I think I only liked Ed because it was fun to make fun of him and I was a rabid Edvy shipper. Honestly, he's too pretty and made EdWinry seem like femslash xD
Lust and Gluttony were great, I liked their dynamic and they cameo'd a lot in Edvy fics, which made me like them even more.
Ah, good to know xD I remember having edited a story until my brain friend, and weeks later when I re-read it, I found an unbelievable type-o.

Finally, I thought I was the only one who didn't like Winry! Haha, that's such a good point about Ed/Winry seeming like femslash. Maybe that's the problem I always had with it? I thought Envy was a girl for years and years, so I was somewhat disappointed to discover that he's, well, not. Somehow, he didn't seem as cool XD But he and Sloth are my two favorite sins. I didn't like Lust only because she killed Hugh Maes, one of my favorites, and Gluttony scared the heck out of me in the movie, but they did have a great dynamic. Edvy...haha, I like that name.

xD Out of the five people I've talked about FMA with, only one liked Winry, even then, not that much.
And I had this awesome crack theory about the manga that Winry was actually Envy, how cool would that have been? I wouldn't put it past him. But even if I knew it wasn't at all likely, I was still disappointed to find that he wasn't her.
And I think it was wanted that people think Envy was a woman xD I've never heard such a womanly voice actress, even in Japanese.
Ahh, Hugh Maes, yeah, that's the homonculis biggest downfall, the guy was so awesome. I sympathized with Lust though, I guess I just have a thing for severely broken or flawed characters xD
Edvy fans were as amusing as SPN slash fans <3 it was a never ending fountain of amusement for at least two years.

Haha, that's like the best theory ever. Did they ever really prove that Envy couldn't be Winry? I think I'm going to think that from now on.

xD Well he's technically dead in both animes, and the manga, but I'm good at turning a blind eye to that. It's like in Doctor Who, I'm sure River Song is actually The Master. She shares a few quirks with him and has been described as an "It" rather then a "her". Again, probably wrong, but it's an amusing idea xD
