Hello, I am here from ProjectComment ! And I hope to offer some food for thought
At first, I legitimately thought the dog was a real photo. The textures of the fur are absolutely a-maaazing. You've done a wonderful job mimicking fur with your strokes and I really commend you for that because I think that is the most striking part of this piece. It does look quite realistic.
As far as dog anatomy goes, I am not an expert, but again, I thought this was a photo. So I think your anatomy was very on point and very well done, contributing to the realism.
I, myself, am not terribly familiar with light source when it comes to photos and struggle with it. But I feel as though there might be something a bit off about the light source in your piece. You've certainly done a great job demonstrating light in the areas you did - like the right side of the dog. Something just feels inconsistent with where the light is hitting/not hitting on the leash and where the light is hitting on the dog and bandana.
I really like the concept you're portraying with your piece contrasting pride colors and black and white. I think it might have previously been mentioned, but I do think the gray background takes away from it a bit. I understand the concept of the rainbow standing out from the drab grey background, but I think there could have been more to tie in the background a bit more as well.
I know I didn't necessarily provide any helpful information and mainly just pointed out areas that (I think?) might detract from the overall piece - that's because I'm really not at the level to be able to offer advice for such things. I just hope that pointing these things out, someone else or even you yourself might be able to see and understand something I don't.

I love the dog and the contrast with the handkerchief, which colors all composition. I think maybe texture the background would help to give more strength to the illustration, but the grey you used think its perfect.
