History:
Son of a wealthy family. Parents were usually gone for work so he was often left in the care of his grandmother, who wasn't quite fond of him because he was a spoiled child. Ryuu was spoiled as a child and grew up to be a bully in grade school. He would look down on others and proclaim everything wasn't good enough for him.

It was until Ryuu was seven he was reported missing and days later found in a coma where he was last seen in a park. When he awoke he began to have short-term memory loss. He was very monotonous and barely spoke. He began to fail in school academics but still continued kendo. Till he reached thirteen his memory span began to increase and grew up as a normal student until highschool.

During his early highschool years, Ryuu became a delinquent and ditched school often. After his grandmother death he became bored of a life of crime and returned back to school. But he is still forgetful which really agitates him.

He considers his parents as strangers and cut any ties with them. They dump money on him to relieve their guilt as neglecting him as a child but he declines it. He now works at a convenience store near his home for money.

His parents paid for classes when he was thirteen for basic kendo, proclaiming his ancestors were quite masters of kendo. Since then, Ryuu became passionate in kendo and was a young prodigy in kendo. He won many kendo competitions and awards. His golden katana is an ancient family heirloom which was locked away in his parents attic. Ryuu discovered it and kept it hidden in his room and began making use of it years later.

Trivia:
- He comes off as cold/mean at first, but usually warms up to them later.
- Forgets faces really easily, constant conversations will jog his memory.
- Bikes to school everyday.
- He works as a cashier at the convenience store near his home.
- He hardly ever depends on his persona.
