I've been seeing a lot of wonderful stained glass-style artwork around (*breathing2004 comes to mind, but there are others!), and I wanted to try my hand at this. I always did love this kind of aesthetic, even if I'm an atheist and thus don't really see churches all that often XD I'm not too happy with the colors, though. Maybe I'll tamper with it again.

About the subject... Again, it's Revan, my man's character on WoW. I swear I love him more than half my toons >_>; he has such a fascinating mind.

The other two are Tiana-my toon- and Sylvanas Windrunner. The two most influent people in Revan's life. Born a quel'dorei, he served the Ranger General for centuries; his devotion bordered on obsession, so much that not even Death could put an end to it. After he was raised as a ghoul during the attack of the Scourge on Silvermoon, having died in defense of the city, it was the thought of her that freed him from Arthas' grasp, as soon as she herself broke the chains; as a Forsaken he served as loyally as he had in life, but on a different path. Soldier no more, he became a priest. But the influence of the Dark Lady pushed him more and more towards the Shadows.

He honed his will, tried to master them, and yet they were strong. Balance was what he lacked.

Balance was what he found in Tiana, a servant of the Light. She was emotion to his cold rationality, the dawn to a very long night. She reminded him of feelings long forgotten- allowing him, after many years, to live again.

I wonder if anyone reads this rabbling, sometimes, and how much they can make out of it. It probably only makes sense to me OTL I don't even know where to begin, when I try to sum up these characters' backstories. So many years of RP... And now our shard has closed down. I'm kind of sad. =/

Every part of this has a certain meaning, and most are probably obscure to anyone besides the two of us. I'll try my best to explain if anyone is interested.

Oh! The script on the bottom reads "Et lux in tenebris lucet", or "And light shines in darkness".
