Common Affinities:

False Faces are a very spiritually dependent race, and their affinities tend to reflect that. They have the potential to carry any one of the Spirit-related elements, but all subtypes aside from Psi are rare.

Hereditary Magic:

Psi is the most common element because the only magical affinity that is passed on through heredity in False Faces is the spirit element. This, coupled with the fact that False Faces tend to prefer reproducing with each other, causes the main population of False Faces to be born with the Psi-affinity. A False Face affected by any other element is almost undoubtedly from two parents of differing species. False Faces aren't physically affected by environmental magic as much as other races.

Common Locations:

False Faces aren't found specifically in any one location on Owel. However tribes of them can be found in several forests dotting Owel.

Climate Preference:

They prefer more moderate climates, but they are able to survive in most areas

Level of Intelligence:

False Faces are very intelligent and tend to be very eloquent when communicating. They also tend to be curious, and love to learn new things.

Language:

The first language that False Faces learn is Common; False Faces used to have their own language, but over the centuries most knowledge of it was lost. How their native language was forgotten is unknown.

Also identifiable by their yellow markings.

The face of a False Face is always white. This is what earned them the secondary name of “Blanched Foxes”.

Removing the mask of a False Face can cause them to undergo extreme emotions including, acts of extreme violence, self-harming, depression and acts of depravity.
The masks can be made out of pretty much anything, each False Face has their own material preference. They tend to stick with that preferred material though and sometimes don't use anything else. For example, if one False Face preferred to use the wood of some special tree, then they will probably go well, well out of there way just to get wood from that one tree....
