Although I prefer the Wyvern type dragons, Charizard is one of my favorites. Good job.

Cool level of detail. First thing I reacted to were the sternum and the fenestrae - really makes it show the well-directed effort you've put into this artwork. I'm surprised to see that Charizard wasn't bigger - but then again, I'm more familiar with Fantasy-style dragons, who can have some rather crazy dimensions.

Damn, this looks awesome!
Though you could improve the realism some more by swapping out the elbow finger for a stylus. A finger would simply never occur on an elbow, while a simple stylus for support is far more realistic and does occur in some flying squirrels.

Okay, funny thing is, I was just thinking that this morning! Like I was adamant that there be /something/ there because it's part of his design, and I wound up drawing it the same way I did last time, but I think I'll go ahead and edit it into a styliform like Yi qi since that just makes way more sense.)

Yee! It makes more sense and also holds truer to Charizard's actual look because the thing on their wing elbow doesn't appear to have a joint. If it did I'd say this skeletal is pretty dang perfect!

That skeleton of the Charizard looks tough to make, but awesome to see.

All those notes and species. Yeah, it is an exhaustive review, and the skeleton shows!
I would line to know, how do you make it so it doesn't end like a mix-and-match? I would like to learn, please.
No pressure.

Oh man, it's hard to say how to make the whole thing feel coherent, but I'd say the best thing to do is to look, and I mean really look at different animals' skeletons, from as many angles as you find and just take in what the similarities are, how the same bone started out one way, but then changed shape in two different families, because that's how you start getting a feel for why they are that shape. In my early skeletals, I was just sort of copying references and squishing the bones around to fit the Pokemon's body, but as time went on, I started to get a better idea of why each bone was shaped like that, and how to warp it to fit the Pokemon in a way that didn't feel forced. (The best example of when I started doing this was in my Lucario Skull Study .) Hope that helps!

*phew* this means this knowledge is a matter of years spent studying and reasoning. Pretty impressive! You could even work at biology or something that would put those skills to a use!
