Description Here is the tale of one blue-capped toad, who seems to have gotten himself into quite a mess. One day, in an area unfamiliar to him, he happened apon a roadside stall with some money scattered across it. Denizens of the Mushroom Kingdom have a curious appreciation of money, thinking nothing of swiping coins en masse and knocking them out of every crevice imaginable no matter where they are found. This toad was a hoarder even by THEIR standards - suffice to say, he thought nothing of pocketing the spare change the moment he saw it, nor the consequences that could have resulted from stealing.

As it happened, this stall belonged to a green Kirby down on his luck. His trade? Wishes. For a sum of money, he could grant nearly any imaginable wish. The toad's eyes light up. He could wish for anything? His mind raced, immediately tempted to wish for vast oceans of money... yet, he felt the need to start small, to test the waters so to speak. Seeing as he was homeless at the time, he wished for a home. One that would fulfill all his needs. One that he would never have to leave. Of course, the Kirby would take offence once he realized the toad was paying him with his own savings, and promptly swallowed him in return.

Wishes are fickle things, often open to the granter's interpretation. Particularly malevolent ones make a habit of twisting it to their own desires where possible, and while it wasn't typical for this Kirby, today he was making an exception: he had granted this toad his home, and prevented him from leaving it. The wish technically protected the toad from digestion, forcing him to soak in shoulder-high juices for the remainder of his days. It was comfy, but only for a given definition, because it was also disgusting, humiliating and very, very tight. And while it provided his basic needs, he was ultimately at the mercy of his predator, who gained no shortage of catharsis from teasing and provoking the poor fool inside of him.

As days turned to weeks, the toad would forget the outside world and its luxuries. The smell and taste of fresh air. The feel of solid ground beneath his feet. The refreshment of a warm, clean shower. He was trapped forever, forced to beg for food from a wish-bound caretaker who almost always chewed his food to spite him, then endure the same aftertaste of digestive juices on everything he ate and drank. Everything was looking up for the green Kirby, though - he had a pet and a toy wriggling around inside of him, something to vent his pent-up frustrations and impulses on whenever things went down. Even his business picked back up, and he started making money again!

The moral of the story? Be careful how you treat other people's possessions - because one day, someone may consider YOU a possession~

-------------------------------------

had a birthday today, and this was all I could be inspired to make on short notice. He's a pretty cool dude to play with. Most of my time on this was spent trying to make stomachs and juices look better than "just throw a green transparency over it", and I feel pretty happy with what I came up with considering most of my spriting ability is usually trash =V
