'tis done as best as i can.
i utterly messed up shadow (i was going for a slightly furry look, but working with layers confused me and i made a mess of it) and alot of places like their shoes, hand and etc all are pretty basically coloured.but look at that shine i got on sonic's head. ;; *strokes it* i descovered the wonders of the airbrush tool there!
it was hard to get the background in as i doodled it seperately and then added it under the image. i then had to erase most of the white from the lineart layer to show the background under it. oo;; surely there was a easier way?
a messy picture, but in my eyes it's finished. ^^ it's under fanart as it's..well, fanart.
and yes, i drew these from my models of the two.
a picture to apologise for my long absence from 'proper' art! take a look at my scraps sometime!

Okay, so maybe you stole this off a friend who stole it off a japanese artist (j/k) but I think you did a good job coloring. Working with layers drives me crazy, but I think I've got it down...maybe. Nice work on the ground, the out-of-focus effect is good.

i'm such a terrible art thief, yes. 
layers were hard to get the hang of, but it becomes much easier over time. i still have problems putting in a background, but i've found new methods! on a normal coloured image i only use about 4-6 layers due to my underpowered laptop. (i also forgot to shade sonic's arms!)
the background was lazy, i smudged it like crazy. >>;

i used to have a smaller sonic that came with tails knuckles and amy, but they disappeared when i moved :/
but to make up for it my mom bought me shadow rouge knuckles and tails plushies

cool! what a great concept for a pic! very different ^^ and the overhead veiws are perfect!
If you wanna know, theres a way to erase all the white fom the line layer, but you have to do it first thing.
Firts, you copy the bg line layer, so its not a bg layer. then you go to the channels palette (right next to layers) then click on the button that looks like a dotted line circle (called load channel as selection) this will select everything white on the line layer. press delete. then, take a big black paintbrush and color over all the lines to darken them to normal (make sure the transparency of the layer is preserved, by clicking the 'preserve transparancy button in the layers palettr, but it might be called something different) now if you create new layers under this layer, you can color anything UNDER the lines, so you dont have to worry about going over them! All this assuming you use photoshop though ._. If youre not using photoshop I cant help ya
