Happy valentines day! I was going to make dorky valentines cards, but I couldn't come up with any good designs. So you have another page. Eeee.
Also, there is a bomb planted somewhere in this page. I am going to wait and see if anyone sees it and freaks. XD

Overactive imagination + biology major = many many elaborate and gruesome possibilities for what exactly happened there. Including the reason why you don't put fish in distilled water.

Well do you remember that stuff about cells in hypertonic and hypotonic solutions? Basically the universe likes things to be even. So when something of one concentration is put into a solution of a different one, the water will rush into/out of one into the other to try to balance it. Distilled water is just pure water with nothing in it. So if you put something in that water that ISN'T made up of pure water, the water will rush into it trying to balance out. This picture might help (the one on the right) [link] .
Unfortunately for the fish, it's physically impossible to balance with pure water that just keeps rushing in until it LITERALLY EXPLODES. It sounds really painful in that all of the cells in your body are filling up until they burst. ALL of them.
If it's any consolation the fish probably dies long before it actually explodes.
