YOU KNOW YOU WANT ONE. >: D
I got the idea for making this little guy after seeing HTTYD on...Saturday, I believe. I was skeptical about the movie at first, and it didn't really grab my interest much.

But then I go and see it.
Now I'm all crazy about it. XD

I looked through some of the official merchandise for plushies of Toothless,and wasn't really satisfied. A little dissapointed, I started drawing the characters. Then, the idea came to me.
"I could make my own plushie of Toothless! I have plenty of black fleece and stuffing I could use to make him. Oh wait, I'm pretty bad at making plushies. .....OH WELL. >: D"

And so, I did.
The little guy came out WAY better than I honestly expected him to. Especially since I made up the pattern as I went along, almost ran out of fabric, and generally improvised my way through making him. Of course, he does have the little quirks that come with me being inexperienced in the ways of plushie making: One of his wings is longer than the other, he's kind of lopsided, and the seam down the middle of the face is not centered properly. However, he's still adorable. And the perfect size for snuggling.

I carried him around in my purse today to show off, and got lots of positive comments. Two of my friends even asked me to make one for them. I guess this is a sign my plushie skills are improving..?

Also, on a side note, I'm considering cosplayig Hicup. Youknow, because I'M A HUGE GEEKFACE and all that jazz.
But seriously, I think I could make it work. I have the right body type (AKA tall, scrawny and generally awkward ), and I've even been told my voice sounds like his. XD We'll see how that goes.
