the last page for today, the sixth! hope some of you appreciate that I drew so much XD and I would love to have comments, cause I am always curious to see how many like this..
I can't draw grenades so I hope it looks a bit like one.. XD really like this page, especially the expressions..
I wanna cry now though.... ;__; alp...
damn I hate to make all this link stuff to every page but I think it just has to be done..cause it makes reading so much easier.. XD who of you knows that I have links to every single page on the first page of this?XD

I like panel two and the last panel a lot. ^_^ Panel two really jumped out to me... I think I was drawn to that one when I first saw the page, before I read anything. He looks 3-Dish, and I can't figure out exactly why... (ponders) Maybe the camera's slightly below eye level...
Anyhow, besides Alp, I like Ed's expression in the last panel. He's like O_O I lost my best friend in the whole world!
(glances at page again) I kind of like how the grenade seems to be going in slow motion... although, in a way it bugs me. (wonders if it would be better as one panel, with lots of grenades to signal movement) I do really like the close up of Alp turning his head and not seeming to comprehend what's going on, though.
...wait... Isn't... Alp and Auric a team here...? (can't recall how in the world Auric got out of death) I do remember something about Alp tying in with Al, though... I think Al lost his body when Alp appeared, but I don't recall if Al gets his body back when Alp dies or not...

I drew the grenade like that cause this is what is in the text:
βAuric,β Alp opened his mouth to argue again. And then the unthinkable happened. An enemy shell came whistling through the air in seeming slow motion. Alp turned, eyes widening in shock. Auric reached desperately for his partner, as if to drag him through the Gate by sheer force of will.
well and on the last part.. there is not much you get to know about the connection between alp and al .. this here is the ONLY part where you get to know something about it at all:
βHow much longer had Alp been a Gatekeeper?β Maes was doodling on his notepad.
βOhβ¦umβ¦maybe four years?β Auric was starting to feel dizzy. Roy and Maes exchanged significant looks.
βThat would have been eight years ago. Coinciding withβ¦.β
Al was already following Maesβs line of reasoning. βWhen I lost my body. I diedβ¦or at least, I would have if Brother hadnβt sacrificed his right arm to bind me to that armor with the blood seal.β He frowned. βSo thereβs definitely some kind of connection between Auricβs ability to manipulate Gates and the Gate of Truth. But what?β

the whiplash happened after alp died cause whiplashes happen when something happens to one of the gatekeepers . and if you reread the beginning you can see that 'a grenade came whistling to the air' or something like that^^

huh I wonder what went through my head when I wrote this:

... I didn't mean alphonse who died.. I just meant that it seems like alp existed since al has lost his body (cause you get to know that it was 8 years ago that al lost his body and alp was a gatekeeper for 8 years. ) that's pretty much all you get to know about him..

yes I know it's sad.. there will be even more sad things that happen (there are some scenes where I almost felt like crying... and it wasn't this scene here XD )
well actually alp has some connection to the alphonse who died and lost his body but you never know for sure what exactly.. I don't know.. alphonse in amestris has his body restored now though (that's why ed landed in this different world in the first place.. everyone thinks he is dead. )
