Ok this. I really love how this turned out. It's very depressing I know ;_; Probably one of the most depressing scenes in the whole game concept (but there are a few that can compare in my opinion xD I'm so evil to everyone haha).
So about this page:
Dirk accidently caused Jake's death and he doesn't have any backup plans for this scenario soo he kinda broke beyond repair now. And poor Dave is at a loss what to do with him since he has never seen Dirk acting like this.
And have some text directly before this scene happens:
Dave: But wasn't he gone before this already? In a way I mean. He went completely psycho! He wasn’t the same guy. In fact he probably would have went on some kind of murder spree if you hadn’t-
Dirk: ...shut up…
Dave: There was nothing we could do! There was zero to prove your friend was still in there. He beat the shit out of John and that pissy troll dude. Although, I can’t really blame him for smacking Vantas up. That guy can be an ornery douche bag, and I guess John needs some fucking common sense when it comes to who he shouldn’t prank. But then he tried to kill us! Seriously dude? What the hell was that about? Face it; Jake was dead a long ass time ago. I don’t get why you’re all up in a huff about it now… You probably did the poor bastard a favor it’s not like he was going to magically get better, bro.
Dirk: I said SHUT UP! *tears in his eyes* I can't deal with this shit!
Dave: But you can deal with anything. You are a Strider! Striders don’t let anything faze them! You can handle this! I know you can!
Dirk: ........ *just staring in front of him, still holding Jake's body close*
Dave: ....Or maybe not. Shit...

Long story. It belongs to my game plot lost chums. It's a 2D puzzle jump'n'run similar to lost vikings. And no I still haven't finished a single level but a lot of concept andbasic character programming. I really want to get back to work on it again because I love the plot and the gameplay very much.
Basically Jake gets controlled by a computer AI thingie and fights against dirk and Dirk somehow accidentally kills him. i still haven't decided exactly how it will happen, 2 ideas are he either drops from some height or gets buried by something that gets destroyed... I think this is the saddest scene of that story.

What we really need after that update, was for Jake and Dirk to get back together and hopefully in a few years, adopt a daughter with a happy life ;-;

Aw, Jake doesn't stay dead in this story either. I always need Dirk and Jake to be happy together so that eventually happens in every story I create (even though it sometimes might not seem that way).

aw thank you! this is part of my massive homestuck 2D jump'n'run project so there is a lot more of this story actually. but most of it is just in concept form. Not sure if I'll ever be able to finish it but I'm working on it on and off. XD
I'm happy you like it! I really love this story. The plot was written before we knew the page outfit so jake's god tier looks different. Not going to change that ever though ahahhah.

But yes the fact that Jake is the Page of Hope is definitely why I titled it that way in the first place. XD Poor Dirk. Poor Jake._. I feel bad for them.

Honestly though, I don’t blame you and I may not have known him as well as you did, but I’m pretty fucking positive Jake wouldn’t blame you either.

Dave: Maybe we can take Jake to his mission bed and he'll revive with god tier powers!
Dirk: ...Are you serious? Sounds pretty farfetched to me...
Dave: Bro, trust me with this. I saw one of these god tier teleporters that take you to your land. We'll just toss Jake in first and follow. Then we should end up in his 'land'.
Dirk: ....*sigh* ok I mean... what other choice is there?
Dave: There isn't any. But don't give up now. We are doing this man. We are making it happen.
