Dear Diary,

I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with Dyllan. She's been my friend for a long time and I've never seen her so… weird. She used to be so open, now she barely talks to me. Even when she does her face seems to heat up. I hope she's not sick. I've been trying to figure this out for the last two weeks but I've gotten nowhere. I guess I'll just have to approach her about it. I just hope I won't screw this up.

Ludwig

He closes his diary and puts it safely in his bag as he hears Feliciano scream. He gets up to help him when he sees Feli cowering behind Dyllan. Three large boys are facing them. Dyllan's about an inch shorter than Feliciano so he has to bend down to hide from the bullies.

"Stop picking on Feli!" she yells at them. She's never stood up for Feliciano or herself before so it's quite surprising. Usually, it's both her and Feliciano cowering behind Ludwig.

The bullies take a step forward but she doesn't step down. Ludwig can hear Feliciano whimper slightly as they move even closer to the two of them. From across the school grounds a couple of girls walk up to the boys and start whispering something to them. One of the girls has a small book in her hands. As Ludwig looks back at Dyllan he sees her eyes grow large and her face drain of color. He can tell you're trying not to cry as the small crowd in front of her starts to laugh. Suddenly she runs off, leaving Feliciano standing there to fend for himself. The two boys instantly chase after her.

"Dyllan!" Ludwig yells trying to get her to stop. She runs towards the back of the school but he catches up quickly. Wrapping his arms around her chest he falls to his knees. She sobs as she's held, facing away from him but she doesn't try to escape. Feliciano joins them, walking over and sitting next to Ludwig.

"Dyllan, what's wrong?" Feliciano asks worriedly. Ludwig turns her around to see tears streaming out of her brown eyes.

"They st-stole my diary!" Dyllan sobs into Ludwig's chest. "Th-They know all of my se-secrets!" He rubs her back, trying to comfort her as she cries.

"It's okay Dyllan," he says to her. "Everything's going to be fine." After a while Dyllan's crying dies down and Feliciano and Ludwig both walk her home.

Ludwig walks into his house and wants to just lie down but he's got work to finish first. Walking into the kitchen, to grab a drink from the fridge he sees Gilbert reading a small book. Instantly he recognizes the book as the ones the girls were taunting Dyllan with earlier and he snatches it out of his hands.

"Come on Luddy, that's so unawesome!" Gilbert pouts childishly.

"Where did you find this?" he demands out of him, holding up the book.

"A couple of girls wanted me to translate it for them. I started to read it but after the first one I just awesomely walked away with it. Those girls didn't even notice that I didn't give it back," Gilbert says. "You should read it. Kesesesesesesese~! It's even got you in it!"

Ludwig feels his face heat up a bit as he looks at the page Gilbert had been reading. The entry is written in German, the language Dyllan had been studying, and he's a bit relieved that the girls didn't get to read much of it. It's definitely her handwriting. Ludwig can easily translate it to his first language and he feels guilty as he can't stop myself from reading the page.

I can't believe it, I've been friends with him for years and just now I'm finding out my feelings for him! And of course I act like an idiot and give up right before I can tell him how I feel. He probably doesn't feel the same anyways so why bother? Man, whenever I'm about to talk to him I get all nervous and shy. I guess I just don't want to ruin our friendship over this… but how am I supposed to tell him? How do I tell Ludwig I love him?

He almost drops the book as he reads that last line. "I-Ich leibe ihn…" Ludwig whispers to himself, repeating the last line. "W-Why would she love me?"

"Hey Luddy," Gilbert laughs. "You look like one of Toni's tomatoes!" he can tell his face must be bright red just from reading one of her entries. "Do you love her back and am I going to have a sissy in law? Kesesesesese~!"

"Shut up Bruder!" Ludwig yells at him. He can't help it as his face turns a darker shade red. How can he tell you that he loves you back without revealing that he read your diary?

Dyllan sits on her bed hugging a small stuffed koala bear that Ludwig had gotten her for her birthday years ago. She couldn't believe it, those girls had taken away the only thing she could express herself with. It might have written in German but what if they got someone to translate it? Like Gilbert or… Ludwig.

"Oh please no!" she cries to herself sobbing into her animal. "Please not Ludwig! He'll think I'm some sort of freak! He probably doesn't even feel the same!"

After about ten minutes of crying and arguing with herself she finally makes a decision. "Well, he's probably going to find out anyways," she mumbles into her stuffed animal. "Might as well tell him already."

Dyllan slowly walks up to the corner that Ludwig and her meet up at to walk home together. A blush is already on her face as she sees him standing there patiently.

"I want to tell you something," the two say at the same time. She's surprised and she looks up at him. Is he blushing? No, it's just her imagination.

"You first ________," Ludwig says looking down at her. He's much taller than Dyllan so her head only reaches about his chest and she feel yourself getting nervous at the words that are about to come out of her mouth.

"Ludwig…" Dyllan says blushing and looking down at her feet to hide it. "I-Ich liebe d-dich." Her voice sounds like a whisper to her but Ludwig clearly hears Dyllan. He tilts her chin up so she's looking him in the eyes.

"Ich liebe dich auch," Ludwig says to you. Dyllan feel his lips press up to hers in a soft kiss.

"Kesesesesese~" she hears Gilbert laugh as a bright flash goes off. Dyllan's face turns bright red as she sees he's not standing very far away as he watches her with Feliciano standing next to him. In his hands he holds a camera most definitely filled with pictures of her and Ludwig kissing.

"Bruder!" Ludwig yells as his face goes even darker red than Dyllan's.

"Ve~! I'm so happy for you Ludwig!" Feliciano cries happily as Gilbert rushes to his house to put the picture on the internet. Dyllan burries her face in Ludwig's chest as her blush grows.

"Um, Ludwig," she says looking up at him.

"Ja?" he asks with his face still red.

"What was it you wanted to tell me?" Dyllan asks curiously. Ludwig pulls her diary out of his pocket and hands it to her.

"Mein Bruder found it so I wanted to give it back to you," Ludwig says as she takes it and hugs it to her chest. "I'm sorry but I couldn't stop myself from reading part of it."

"I-It's okay," Dyllan says as she safely puts it in her bag. "I kind of expected you to and… I trust you." She feels his arms wrap around her in a hug and she returns it, feeling safe in his arms.
